Food nice Service and staff attitude disgraceful This is not the first review to comment on the rude waiter

Visited here for the first time and based on the attitude of the waiter it will be the last. The food was very good but what let the evening down was the attitude of the waiter. After we arrived, I was given the wine menu and a few minutes later the waiter came over and just said abruptly ‘wine’ and not would you like some wine

When the main courses arrived, the waiter started putting the side dishes of veg and potatoes on the main plate and we said we can do that ourselves. He then just abruptly slammed thrdishes on the table hitting them together and normally in these circumstances you would say oh I’m sorry. We called him back and we said why are you being abrupt with us we find your service quite hostile. The owner came over and apologised.

At the end of the meal what made matters worse was the managers response. I said to him that I’m not happy with the service and this is ruined the meal and he said to me that the waiter seems to have some issues tonight which he will speak to him about later. I asked for some money off the bill and the manager said we will not charge us for the 10% service. I said the service is discretionary and I would like some money taken off the bill to which he said he do not agree and he just walked away For the manager to say this two already unhappy customers is unacceptable and clearly shows a complete lack of service especially when they have complained about the rude and abrupt waiter . In the end he came back and he said you should pay what you like and we just paid 10% less. I will certainly not got back here and I think the staff need to take some serious customer...

Extremely disappointing. Have visited this restaurant many times on a Sunday with family and will not being going again. Ordered 3 set meals and a separate meal, plus two servings of mussels to come with the starters. Arriving at 6:15, it took about 10 minutes to get seated, 15 minutes to get menus and another 20 minutes to get drinks. It was busy but the amount of waiting around was unacceptable.

The food also took awfully long, and the mussels were extremely salty. Moreover, one of the mussels (lemon sauce) was not served until after we had finished the rest of our starters. Instead of apologising, like any owner/manager should, he put the plate of mussels down on our table without saying a single world. Embarrassed or not, as a restaurant owner/manager, the first thing you should do is apologise for the slow service. He then proceeded to ignore us for the rest of the evening, getting the older gentleman waiter and the lovely lady waitress to service us. I must add, small talk is great, but not at the expense of service; maybe spend more time serving food and drinks to customers rather than carrying out 10 minute long casual conversations?

Took over 3 hours to leave this place after we had arrived. If we had not ordered set meals, we would have left way before. A disappointing...

We were in a large group, the waiter was rude, commented about the size of some our guests, yes you heard right, told one of larger guests that he is to big to sit at a position at the table even thought there was plenty of room. Starters were nice, that was it. Mains were poor quality, the steaks were cooked wrong and when we commented the waiter got the hump and walked off without saying anything. I had fillet steak and it was tough and when we sent it back, it came back the sauce tasted bitter, did not continue eating the sauce and the fillet was flash fried and completely raw not medium as asked. The steaks that came back were all flash fried, not as asked. Some of the meat was not even edible. The waiter service was very poor, made to think it was our fault. Avoid at all costs. It’s a shame, went last year and the food and service was great....
