It’s my local curry house and I’m glad it is. Been coming here for over a decade now and I’ve always been looked after and got good service. Already been here a couple of times since Christmas, so manage to try a few different dishes.
My usual go to is the Dhansak but for these recent visits I wanted something different, because they offer a number of specialties not usual found anywhere else. I tried the Garlic Chilli Chicken Tikka Masala which was rich in flavour as well as colour! But I actually had the Tawa Tikka Garlic Chilli, which is a family recipe and cooked on a flat griddle. It was both tangy and tasty as the menu suggests.
Being the hot head I am, I was eager to try their hottest dishes with the choice being between a Vindaloo, the Naga or, with what I went with, the Chicken Ceylon: cooked in tomatoes, onions, garlic, ginger, red chillies and coconut. Have to say, whilst the dish tasted great, it was lacking any real heat and I had to ask my friend to try just in case I was going mad.
Accompanying across all occasions: Onion Bhajis, Mushroom rice, garlic and ginger rice, peshwari and garlic naan, Bombay aloo and of course the obligatory poppadoms with the standard pickles and sauces. (Do check out their Chum Chum Chicken which is good).
They boast about low fat and colour free ingredients which is does taste lighter than usually expected whilst keeping the same texture and consistency. Decent portions and all well presented, attentive and knowledgeable service as always, decent selection of drinks with both Cobra and Kingfisher, complimentary digestifs and the standard hot towel and branded minty chocolate.
Well situated opposite the cinema, it’s a great option for pre or after meals, especially as they offer a discount if you present your cinema ticket. They use the space well and can accommodate groups but do recommend booking, especially if more than 4 of you. It’s nicely lit, clean and suitable decor, offers a nice ambiance to your meal.
Keep up the great work! We’ll be back for sure...

Read moreMy friend and I love a good curry and treat ourselves to a Khan's in Epsom about once a month as it's the best Indian restaurant in Surrey in our opinion. The food is always so flavorsome and never swimming in oil like so many others you go to. We went on a Tuesday night so was understandably quiet yet the meal wasn't in front of us two minutes after we ordered it which shows they made it fresh and didn't just stick it in a microwave. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the prices are very reasonable, especially with the discounts for booking online. I've eaten curry's from Epsom to Birmingham and would recommend Khan's to anyone. In fact, I converted my partners parents to leave their local Indian of 20 years and take the trip to Khan's and it didn't take...
