I don’t think that this place needs another five star review, but it’s going to get one anyway.

Yum, yum, yum - one of the best dining experiences I have had in Nottingham (yes, I know it’s in Derbyshire), and certainly the best Italian meal I have had locally. Great value for money too, considering the quality of the food.

Yes, the decor is a bit odd in places and harks back to a previous incarnation, but the food, and wine, were both fantastic. The pizza dough was the best I have had outside of Italy, the steak was great, the chips were both fluffy and crunchy, the sauce was flavourful but not overpowering, and the red wine was just how I like it - fruity with not too much tannin.

Sadly, I couldn’t fit in a pudding, cos I was stuffed, maybe next time.

The serving staff were friendly and competent and the service was efficient without being rushed.

100% recommend here we booked here as the food sounded lovely when looking for a restaurant in that area we booked a few months in advance as we were attending the area for my daughters 21st... i am so glad we did the whole experience with pelgraves was a pleasure everything we mentioned was taken into account we had a lovely booth the decor was spot on romantic, comfy & quirky it caters for everyone even it also has added touches in the toilets which was so nice. The food was absolutely gorgeous portion sizes was huge and so fresh cooked to perfection the staff and manager was so lovely if we lived local it would definitely be somewhere we would go to alot even for a drink. High Expectations

I booked this restaurant for a family meal based on the other reviews for Pelgraves.

It was a bittersweet experience and I don't think that I could recommend this restaurant as I think that the service leaves a lot to be desired.

The success of this venture is all down to the food but they really need to up their game as they are charging town prices for a local establishment.

We all had a selection of drinks, starters, mains and desserts and the presentation was excellent although the starters were a little on the small side.

Too many things not available on the night, too long between courses, front of house and waitress although pleasant enough need to up the game for the quality of good and establishment.

Also the coffee was awful with sweet synethic cream on top. Need to invest in a...
