Visited this store this morning, greeted by a member of staff who asked if I have Track and Trace on my phone. I do not have it installed as previously trying it would not load. Staff member â demanded to see my phoneâ then told me it was â the lawâ that I had to have it. I refuse to be bullied by any member of staff. Two thing to bear in mind (1) it is not the law to have the app. (2) I was offering to give my details to you directly which you refused to take, meaning you were breaking the law by refusing to take them. Just to prove a point , I then went to another branch of costa. On arrival explained I did not have my mobile phone and was told not to worry sir, at the till my colleague will be happy to take your details. Coffee purchased, details given and coffee enjoyed. I think your staff need thorough training in what is and what is not required regarding the Covid app. I fully agree with keeping every customer safe but that does not give your staff the right to bully me or any other customer.    Read moreAppalling customer service I was treated very badly by the staff in this branch, I went in about 5.55 on Monday , I havenât long been released from hospital and I now move with a Walker I went in to get a treat for my son who has been caring for me, when I got into the branch I stood by the counter fiddling with my phone to bring up my Costa app , probably stood there a few minutes and then went to the til , the young girl gleefully announced â Itâs 6 oâclock I wonât serve you nowâ âŚ.. I looked at my clock it was 6 ⌠I said â Iâve just been standing there for 2 minutes trying to find my Costa appâ so no drinks for me. I was terribly disappointed and as I was leaving the young girl and another assistant a lad with dark hair standing behind her actually smirked at me as I left .. SMIRKED!    Read moreI have been in a few times, I have noticed a young lady at the till on several occasions she has been very rude to the customers. I was told off on 1 occasion by her implying that 'I'm confusing her customers' as I was checking on my daughter was sat in the table near by, I thought how rude!
The last time I came in, the same woman was working behind the till and asked for my order, I asked for a drink and noticed she took the order as a drink in. I then asked if I can have a take out drink. She made a meal out of this and I caught everything. She muttered to her colleagues 'he's decided to change his mind at the last minute I don't know' like it was such a big inconvenience. i mean seriously!
