This was a birthday treat for me - and decided to have dinner earlish on a Sunday evening here. This restaurant has a good ambience, a little music in the background and an attentive waiter but not overbearing.

Little flatbreads were placed on the table with a couple of condiments. I liked the chilli one but not the yogurt flavoured dip. But that's just down to taste. The little flatbreads were tasty.

I'd read the reviews for the cocktails and never had a Pornstar Martini before so went for it. OMG it came with a small Prosecco chaser - the taste was out of this world - I think this is the best alcholic beverage I've ever had.

Anyway moving on to the grub. I tend to order seafood rather than meat if available, so went for the Calamari for starters. This was excellent - OK it came in rings but nothing like the obscene things you get in the supermarket - Yaprak's calamari was absolutely dancing on my taste buds.

I had a glass of Kavaklidere Cankaya wine with my food and this was very acceptable. And their small glass is not that small - so well done for that.

Next were King Prawns with salad and chips. The salad was gorgeous with a great dressing, lovely and fresh. The chips perfect. The prawns have shells on so for those of you who don't like getting in a mess - move onto something else. I find the messier the meal the better it tastes. The prawns which came with peppers and mushrooms were excellent. The skewer had been taken out which is always helpful.

I then thought I'd try a dessert - the Coccia al Pistachio - I shouldn't have done. It wasn't to my taste, it was frozen and didn't match the starter and main in it's quality I thought. Had a latte which was pretty much the same as you'd get anywhere and this went down well.

As this was a birthday treat I wanted to put the boat out and try several things. The bill came of £59.00 and then service charge was added for £6.00 ish. I don't like that when service charge is added but what can you do? I also tipped the waiter because of his good service.

So to sum up - starters was my favourite, followed closely but the main. The cocktail was really special. I've given 5 stars even though I didn't like the dessert because the rest was so good.

The one thing that should have been done was to have hot flannel or wipes for the prawns as they were messy - apart from that I can't fault...

Friends of ours from Romsey had heard the food here was good and wanted to try Yaprak. I phoned up on the 8th February to book a table for 4 people. I was told yes you are all booked in and we look forward to seeing you. Unfortunately last night when we turned up to the restaurant they didn’t have our booking. We walked in and there was also another party that walked in behind us. We spoke to a young man, he went off to check his list and then another older man came out with his clip board. He told us we didn’t have a booking and then proceeded to talk to the other party behind us. My husband said ‘Excuse me can you just finish talking to us please and can we try and sort this out’ at which point the bad manner manager shouted at the top of his voice ‘Calm down sir, you don’t have a booking, just clam down’. He was incredibly rude to us at the top of his voice in front of the whole restaurant! And secondly my husband was calm, he was just a bit annoyed at being ignored after we made the booking way back on 8th February. As a manager if thats what he was, I would have expected a polite ‘I am sorry sir there seems to have been a mix up, let me see what I can sort out. I just show these other people to there table and see what we can do’. My husband stepped outside to phone our friends, who were running a little late, whilst I waited to see what could be done. However after being shouted out for no apparent reason other than they had lost our booking, I didn’t feel the need to stay. The young girls who were working in the restaurant looked friendly and efficient, maybe the management should take a leaf out of their book! Whilst the food on the website looks great, if not a touch expensive for what is a shopping centre restaurant, we will not be trying to make a booking here again. Incredibly...

I used to be a casual customer, but no longer from today due to poor customer service from a person that I think he is the "manager".

Whilst, I was waiting for four (4) customers to leave the restaurant so I can come in, the manager was opening the door for them, with a smiley face and thanking them for being there.

The manager and I made eye contact whilst he was opening the door for these four (4) customers, and saw me I was waiting for them to leave so I can come in, so the manager KNEW WELL that I wanted to come in the restaurant, unfortunately, the moment I was about to come in, he shut the door in my face!! And did hurry to the counter! Then, when I opened the door to come in, the manager came back to me. I asked him whether he did not see me coming in? He was not bothered to respond nor apologise! I just turned a blind eye and asked for my collection. The funniest thing, when I paid for the food, the manager did not even say 'thank you'! And he was in hurry to deliver my food! Pathetic!!

Customers those sitting next to the door saw what happened and how the manager shut the door in my face, they were shocked from this manager's behaviour!

It seems there are some requirements that customers need to meet in order to be treated respectfully!

I will no longer order from this place, and make sure my two (2) friends who used to order from here will also not order. I DO...

Went here for the first time the other week, wasn't sure what to expect but had seen all the 5* reviews online. The reviews definitely matched our experience. We went for the platter for 2-3 people for £56. This was lovely food and good value for money and was enough between the 2 of us! Staff were lovely and fast service as we went mid week. We will definitely be back and glad this great place is local to us. 🙂

Amazing!!!!! 5/5!!!! The food was absolutely perfect! I can't wait to go again! Im Eastern European and I loved everything in the menu! They have great wine and coctails list too as well as absolutely great selection of traditional Turkish meats and sides of course garnished with loads of fresh veggies and cheese 🤩🤩 shared the dinner with my bf and both of us agreed that's our new favorite place to eat local!
