Only popped in for a brekkie after two years to give The Harvester another go, thinking it would improve and then we had to wait over an hour and a half for our food. On arriving the ladies gave a friendly smile/welcome, took our seats and ordered our food, all being good so far. When the food arrived my husbands large plate with over done sauces, black pudding and hard yolk eggs along with melted butter that had to be pour on the hard toast. My husband wrote a review only for the answer to come back with " you should have asked for the manager, well I called over a lovely lady only to ask "should MY EGGS be like this (photo attached) not mentioning the burnt/overdone bacon, the lady replied "definitely not" and went to get more eggs, only when they arrive looking more like fried eggs and by this time the rest of my food was cold! However we ate most of the food due to a long day ahead. The eggs benedict is the worst I've ever had and won't be coming back again. Although the lovely lady couldn't apologise enough.

Plenty of parking split between front and rear of property. Slightly steep entrance off of main road so advance indication needed to prevent rear enders. Some outdoor seating and a small bar area immediately to the right of the entry door. Wait at desk to be seated. Not too busy on a Thursday lunchtime, so we were quickly directed to a prepared table adequate for our party. Annie took our drinks orders straight away, before I had time to view the beverages on offer. These arrived promptly and main meal orders were selected. It is possible to swop many items if required i.e. chips to replace mash. We were also asked if the were any allergy concerns. All meals were without fault. 2 medium steaks, a bbq belly pork, chicken stack and a double dirty combo. Deserts were also polished off. Cookie chaos, chocolate fudge cake and a sundae waffle. Nice to see the salad bar making a return, but we have all learnt not to overfill. Well done all concerned. Thoroughly recommended.

Family friendly chain restaurant with a good range of pub favourites such as fish and chips, burgers, grilled meats, tacos and rice plus plenty of vegetarian and vegan alternatives .I had the chargrilled chicken and mash which came with broccoli and peas plus gravy. Although the chicken was tasty the portion was a little on the small side and the veg were lukewarm. My companion had beef burger and fries which was much more filling- also you can fill up with unlimited salad for free upon ordering mains which was great. We had soft drinks and no desserts so I can't comment on those but again there appeared to be ample choice of sides, desserts, and drinks on the menu. I had reserved in advance so had no issues getting seated : it did appear rather busy for a midweek early eve slot . Our server was attentive, plus you can get various discounts/points if you scan the Harvester app upon payment. All in all a very reasonable experience .

It's not what it once was. I've had much better experiences here in the past. It feels a bit crammed with tables now to the point where you are disturbing people on adjacent tables just to get up for the salad cart...which appears to be smaller now, and for our visit which was between 19:00 & 20:00 was not replenished. The crispy onions, croutons and bits had various bits dropped in them and for some reason the sauces that were depleted were left next to the full ones. The main meal itself came swiftly and was delivered by a friendly and attentive waitress (Char) who deserves 5 stars herself. If you are like me, you don't send food back-as then sitting watching your fellow diner eat and then swapping that role when your re-done meal comes is not pleasant. So I just leave it and don't return. In this instance a mixed grill with a steak that was 1/3 fat, gammon like a shoe sole, eggs done to death, and corn cob (replacing black pudding) that had been boiled to the point of being virtually mulch...along with peas in the same state. Where would you start with sending that back. My partner had the 3 plate small bites and was really pleased with them, even though they cost £14 and Do NOT include the salad cart!! Really!? The wine was excellent and served at the perfect temperature and priced as you would expect for a restaurant. Access is easy, the car park is large, bus stop is just across the road and toilets were clean. The staff are very friendly and not...

Me and my husband went here last night for a meal and firstly there was no where to park in the car park. The new refurb in the restaurant looks nice but it was freezing cold in the place. We also got sat in the noisiest part of the restaurant even though the other side was empty! After the waiter took our food choices we went up to the salad bar, the salad bar was a mess there was nothing really there and all the food was mixed in with each other. I had to ask a member of staff if they could put some more salad foods out and bring out some more bread. There were no sauces at the salad bar either. After we har our salad we then waiting nearly over an hour for our food to turn up. My husband ordered the mixed grill which was so small and half of it was cold and the peas looked off. I ordered the 1983 chicken combo the chicken was cold and the ribs were small. I ordered jacket potato with the meal and it was burnt that I couldn’t cut it with a sharp knife and tasted horrible.

The food was awful it’s gotten very expensive there too. We will not be going back ever which is a shame as the harvester is normally mine and my family’s go to place but recently it’s just gone down hill. We both left the place still hungry as the food wasn’t edible šŸ™

Really disappointed with...

It was my birthday, I came with 6 people. And had an offer for my meal to be free. However the first thing I was told was it would be the cheapest meal that was free not my meal.. but I still ordered the steak for £21.99 accepting it wasn't quite right but ok. However we went to the salad cart and lots of the salad was swimming in water where it hadn't been drained correctly. When my steak came out I was very happy it smell good and looked good. However very quietly it turned out to not be great. Firstly the chips where not hot on the outside and cool on the inside like they had been left under the heat lamps for too long. I had paid £1.99 for blue cheese sauce and it came in a tiny metal pot. This was wrong £1.99 for that. It was embarrassing. But as not one came to check if the food was OK! I carried on.. I cut into my Steak, I had ordered medium rare, I cut into a at best medium well to well done steak. I looked for a waitress but they were all busy. I carried on hoping the steak would get better but it was worse dry and full of gristle. I stopped eating and just sat there. By the time I was able to get the waitresses attention the meal was over. She offered something else or a replacement but I asked for the meal to be taken off the bill. I was very...
