From the moment we walked into 28 at the Hollow , we knew we were in for a treat. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. But let's get to the most important part: the food. Oh my goodness, the food. Every dish that we tried was simply divine. The menu was full of creative and delicious options, and each one was executed perfectly. Whether you're in the mood for something light and refreshing or something hearty and filling, 28 at The Hollow Enniskillen has got you covered. But it's not just the food that makes this place special. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the experience, from the beautifully presented dishes.
We had the pleasure of trying several dishes during our visit to 28 at The Hollow Enniskillen, including the chicken and mushroom ravioli for steerers, the slow-cooked beef cheeks, and farm chicken for mains. The chicken and mushroom ravioli was a standout dish for me. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the filling was bursting with flavor. The combination of tender chicken and earthy mushrooms was a match made in heaven, and the dish was elevated even further with the addition of a rich jus. The slow-cooked beef cheeks were another standout dish that left us. The meat was incredibly tender and practically melted in my mouth, and the accompanying vegetables added a wonderful depth of flavor to the dish. It was clear that the beef had been cooked for hours, allowing all of the flavors to meld together in the most delicious way possible. Finally, the farm chicken was simply divine. The meat was juicy and flavorful, and the accompanying vegetables and sauce complemented it perfectly. It was clear that only the freshest ingredients had been used.
And let's not forget about the dessert! The chocolate mousse at 28 at The Hollow Enniskillen was simply outstanding. It was velvety smooth and had the perfect balance of chocolatey richness and sweetness.
Overall, I cannot recommend 28 at The Hollow Enniskillen enough. This restaurant is a must-visit. The food, the service, and the atmosphere are all top-notch, and we can't wait to return for another unforgettable meal. Thanks again from...

Read moreI had heard a lot about this restaurant and had high hopes for it. The food is well cooked but lacks excitement. We visited on a Sunday for lunch. The menu read well and after we ordered our 3 course lunch we were served home made bread. The bread was amazing and was the highlight of the meal, really soft and delicious, in a brioche style.
As the only vegetarian in the group I was disappointed to see a risotto as the main as it has been the go-to vegetarian dish in restaurants for far too long now. Reading the menu, I could see how easy it would have been to build a more interesting vegetarian dish by combining different elements of the other dishes on the menu which would have resulted in a dish more in line with bistro food. My starter was tasty however, Five Mile Town goats cheese some of which was pannéd and fried and some whipped with beetroot.
My two companions were meet eaters and one order the steak and the other Hake. The Hake was well cooked and the stronger of the two dishes. Desserts were nice, the chocolate tart was excellent and was topped with popcorn drizzled in salted caramel, however the pavalova though very pretty to look at, lacked marshmallowy-ish at it's center and the fruit sauce was too tart.
The staff were excellent however, very friendly and welcoming and the price of the meal was very good value. As it's a reasonably new restaurant it's a shame to see how dated the decor of the restaurant looks and feels and a more contemporary approach to the design would have been...
