The Beano Cafe — Restaurant in Folkestone and Hythe District

Beano is a local cafe my family and I use regually. The family that run it are very welcoming and friendly but not over top. We often see folk we know locally in there and exchange a few words. The food is mostly British cafe fare. Though it's not the sort of food you get in a posh restaurant, for the price, it's amazing. That's why it's so busy. Nearly always have the roast lamb. I could change the set English breakfast without being penalised!!!!!! Shock horror!!! So I swapped baked beans (yuk) for mushrooms and was well pleased. We also changed chairs and tables round to fit five of us ( we're an awkward bunch) - again no probs! The tea was hot and was made with boiling water. Wow. Result. Lots of canny locals and very nice folk serving us - experts in giving the eaters what they want. Thanks very much....

Just got off the tunnel and needed a coffee stop. Google search came up with Beano Cafe. What a find! Spotlessly clean outside as well as in. Good choice of menu.
