I took my vehicle for an MOT near by. I knew it would be awhile and the results from it was going to be bad news and very costl to add to thi I was feeling so unwell and wanted to be as far away from the vehicle as possible. I decided to go to the cafe to read my book. I was greeted with smiles. I was told to sit down and they will come over and take my order. One of the ladies came over and sat at my table to take my order instead of peering down on me. I actually loved that she sat down to take it and got on the same level as me, it made me feel comfortable. I explained that I will order but please don't get offended if I don't actually eat it. Told her I needed to eat but was struggling to eat as my illness had affected my face, mouth and inside my mouth which made eating difficult. She was very understanding. I couldnt fault the food it looked lovely and what I ate tasted good. I stayed longer than expected and I started getting self conscious that I'm taking up a table and slowly drinking tea which I was struggle with (Me feeling like this was no fault of the staff, just my own high standards of courtesy and manners taking over) I apologised to the staff member and seeked permisson (as itbwas evidence my 2nd cup of tea was going cold) i said "hope you don't mind if I don't buy another Tea as I'm not going to drink it would it be a problem if i stay a little bit longer as my vehicle wasn't ready?" I was trying to reassure her that I'm not someone trying to take the mick and be there hours when other customers could have the seat. She was extremely lovely and understanding and reassured me to stay as long as I like. I felt really welcome with the response and sat there until vehicle was ready. The other ladies where all helpful too. No question seem to bother them. I asked whether they had toilet despite not actually seeing it right in front of me. (Silly me) It's definitely a little gem of a cafe and staff are a credit to the business. I will be back for another visit as vehicle needs to be retested and hopefully to be able...
Read moreThe food was extremely delicious and really hit the spot! Brilliant portion sizes as I had a lovely burger, and the chips were exactly as I would hope. Parking facilities here are really good and well marked out, so you dont run the risk of not finding the right one for the right venue. You are visiting.
One toilet here that is shared across the board but it is only a small cafe, so I wouldn't expect segrated genders. It does what it needs to.
The customer service was top banana as we sat and had our order taken and they were extremely flexible to diet requests and requirements, it didnt seem like too much work which I do sometimes find in smaller venues like these. It was a nice welcoming touch.
My partner comes here frequently with his dad as well, and I can see why the...
Read moreThis is a traditional transport style cafe on a Rochester industrial estate with plenty of parking. It is open early in the morning from 6:30 am. The menu for breakfast foods is good. If you like good quality strong tea and a large breakfast, then this is the place for you. The tea was hot and excellent. I can't call this a 'greasy spoon' because my food was in no way greasy and it was very tasty. The staff were pleasant and the service was quick. The price was far cheaper than my hotel's breakfast cost. Great stop before my course.
Just to note, I had an issue with my sat nav. On entering the road where the diner is located, I was directed to the 'left' but you need to follow the road round...
