BG Bakery — Restaurant in Gedling

We love this Bakery, the ONLY place to get traditional Bulgarian pastries and groceries! We often go early in the morning to have a traditional breakfast, as my husband is Bulgarian it's been great to have somewhere he can experience home again, and I can learn more about his culture and cuisine. We also always get snacks and Bulgarian ingredients and groceries here too, for such a small shop, they have so much choice! Recently when we got married we ordered 3 large traditional breads for the ceremony and they were more than accommodating making sure they were fresh for us to pick up the night before for our guests to enjoy. We're not local, but we make the trip to visit...

Called in here for a coffee on Tuesday with my mother ...can't tell you enough how very helpful and friendly the staff are especially staff member Ryan... We didn't realise that the breakfast menu was over ...but Ryan went to ask the chief if he wouldn't made making us some bacon sandwich which was no problem at all ...wish to thank you all for going out your way for us ...its a wonderful comfortable place ..you must give Albie's a visit the food is and looks amazing all freshly cooked and well presented... Great place. Through the week they make lovely stuffed breads and pizza. Personal favourite the feta cheese stuffed bread, sort of a bread/croissant stuffed with feta. Yum yum yum. At weekends they have cakes. Very friendly and welcoming staff and very reasonable pricing. The feta cheese bread was £1.60 and is pretty big and well enough for two (or a very greedy one).
