Brilliant selection of ales and I did notice a wide range of gins too. Food is also really good and all locally sourced; nice touch. It's really nice to see how they've turned the place into having a proper local feel to it. Can't fault it at all. They even serve dog beer for our four legged friends. They also accept CAMRA cards too so the discounts offered are little but appreciated.

Just nipped in for a cheeky pint whilst on the way home. Love this place, the decor is spot on and the snack menu looks extremely reasonably priced so I'll be back to sample very soon. The lady behind the bar was very friendly and the choices of drinks is vast. Very impressed so coming back very soon thank you

The brickyard is a cosy little bar on Carlton Hill, great location for taking a walk up to with the dogs. The staff are really friendly, they love coming over and welcoming the dogs! Great selection of drinks here, lots of Gins and some good Beers on tap. Highly recommended

I’ve been enjoying the various IPAs in this pub for several years and have always been served by friendly bar staff. Sadly, yesterday afternoon I was very disappointed. The barman under-filled my 1/2 pint and when I questioned him about it he was extremely disrespectful and smug.

I understand that under-filled pints aren't uncommon in pubs, with new research by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute showing that over 80% of beer served in pubs and bars across Britain is short measured.

I was entitled to ask for a top-up and have been informed that requests for top-ups should be received with good grace and never refused! Far from being received with good grace, I was scoffed at in a way that I know a male customer would not have been spoken to.

In reply to the response. I raised my glass ONCE before questioning the barman so please revisit your CCTV footage. I didn’t swallow any liquid because my upper lip was covered in froth which is what prompted me to look closely at the measure.

Thank you for speaking to the member of staff concerned; he would certainly benefit from training on how to speak to customers respectfully and how to pull pints correctly.

I just find it unbelievable when I think of all the drinks I, my husband and my mother have purchased from your pub over the years, that your barman refused my request for a top up (and sniggered about it in the process); a request that was 100%...

Fabulous atmosphere Sunday 1st December at the live music slot 4pm to 6pm. Lovely beer and wine. Only negative , our table was very sticky and in need of empty glass and food collection. On asking for table to be cleaned after I took empty glasses back to the bar, a member of staff attempted to clean it but unfortunately the table remained quite sticky. Would appreciate regular clearing and cleaning of...

The Brickyard is a great local pub with great atmosphere and excellent selection of beers. The bar staff are great and know about what it is they're serving and are keen to make sure you have a drink you will enjoy. A sample was given before buying to make sure we enjoyed what we bought. The Brickyard is a cosy, friendly place that I have enjoyed before and will be returning to again. Well...
