Been a few times in the past and just recently 18/07/25. We ordered our food and drinks on the app I ordered the Robinson blackcurrant squash which may as well have been water with how diluted it was. If I didn't know what I'd ordered I would have assumed it was water... Next is the food. Again ordered on the app and we ended up waiting 40 minutes for food. The place wasn't empty however it certainly was not full either. I do not understand why we had to wait 40 minutes for the food. When the food finally came we was thinking of just walking out. Both mine and my partners chips where cold. My steak [i asked for medium] was well done, Onion rings looked as though they where cooked 3 days ago and reheated to put on my plate... they where cold as well. I ordered the large mixed grill and I didn't even finish it the whole experience was ruined and we just left after only eaten half of both our meals... As for the atmosphere I know you can't do much about loud customers however there was a woman in the pub shouting loudly and sometimes swearing at the top of her lungs. I caught someone behind the bar drinking on the job [please check your cctv for proof. It was around 7pm ish] and the tables are really sticky. When was the last time they where wiped down? Overall what seemed to be a decent place to eat a few years ago seems to have gone down hill exponentially... We will not be eating here again and will be telling...
   Read moreI used to eat here at least once a week with my family. Sometimes twice. Then have after work drinks on occasion with colleagues. But unfortunately Iâll now never return. I received a letter from debt collection agency last week saying I owe ÂŁ155 from parking here 2.5 years ago! (Even though itâs a free car park). Itâs the first Ive ever heard of a fine. I havenât received any communications before this. But apparently they were sent âin good faithâ and now the fine has gone up! I tried to appeal of course, but itâs clearly not worth my time. Just have to pay it and move on. Itâs a shame, because the Ram have lost a good customer now. Ironically, theyâve earned far more out of me than the ridiculous ÂŁ155 Iâve just paid, and they would have continued to earn more out me as a customer for many many years to come. But thatâs been spoiled now. I can imagine theyâll lose a lot of customers this way if they receive a similar experience. The risk of getting a fine when you just want a quite casual meal is too much of a risk for people to consider eating here. And thereâs plenty of other choices in direct competition with The Ram. Remember, I may only be one person, so easy to ignore me - But I represent a greater problem your business will face going...

The restaurant/bar looked as if it hadnât been cleaned for a number of months, if there is an actual person reading this please spot visit the pub and check the dust on top of lampshades and so on. The glass cups were filthy and just the general look/finer details of cleanliness was lacking. The food was ok at best, a rump steak that was full of fat and tendons, miniature mushrooms that were laughably small.
We had to wait a total of 55minutes for the food to come out and the restaurant wasnât at all busy, I can see why with the lack of cleanliness and quality.
I honestly thought for the price point of the food it was extremely below any standard and disappointing.
The toilets were blocked in the ladies and again lacking any cleaning standard at all.
The whole experience was embarrassing for the chain of pub, seriously needs some strong management to crack down on the simple things like dusting in areas that customers see at the very least.
