From the moment we walked into Woodthorpe Tandoori, we knew we were in for something special. The warm, inviting atmosphere immediately set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable evening. The decor is beautifully done, with elegant chairs that add a touch of class to the dining experience. Soft, soothing music played in the background, creating a perfect ambiance for a cozy meal.

The hospitality here is second to none. The service was outstanding, with a lovely waitress who took the time to chat with us, making us feel incredibly welcome. She was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that everything was just right throughout the meal.

Now, onto the food – simply phenomenal! Every dish was prepared with such care and bursting with freshness. The fish pakora was a standout – crispy on the outside, tender and flavourful inside, and seasoned to perfection. The naans were delicious, light, and fluffy, with just the right amount of crispiness and char. They paired beautifully with the curries, which were packed with flavour and topped with loads of fresh coriander (which I absolutely love!).

One of the things I appreciated most was the variety on the menu. There were so many dishes I had never heard of before, making the experience even more exciting. It was a joy to try something new, and every dish exceeded expectations. The selection of desserts was also impressive, and everything we tried was delicious.

To top it all off, they brought out hot towels at the end of the meal – a thoughtful touch that really added to the experience. And, as if that wasn’t enough, we were treated to complimentary After Eight chocolates – such a delightful way to finish off a fantastic meal.

The value for money here is excellent, especially considering the high quality of food and service. We left feeling full, satisfied, and already planning our next visit. I've been using Woodthorpe Tandoori for over 5 years, at least once a month and I've always recommended it to others because it's one of the best tasting and very consistently so. Generally the orders are on time or even early

HOWEVER, this order broke that trend - and BADLY. The pathia was very watery and lacked the usual rich taste, the mixed kebab starter usually contains decent sized chunks but these would be embarrassing even next to a McNugget, and the order arrived over an hour after the predicted time (2.5 hours total).

I'm hoping this is a one off but I'll definitely not be recommending it to anyone for a while that's for sure. So disappointed.. after all these years I even feel betrayed.

Oh and to top it off the driver couldn't be bothered to walk down my drive to the door and rang me from the car to collect...

ordered from here because the food is usually good. saturday night around 8.30 i called the restaurant and could hear it was quite busy. no surprise when i was told it would be up to an hour. i ordered three mains, rices, naans, pops and chuts. around 9.40 the driver called and could not find us. gave post code and obvious landmarks, realising driver was just up the road. eventually he rang again still couldnt find us on a local main road. we waited another 15 minutes before walking to a local takeaway to order some sort of meal. we eat around eleven o clock, very late and not what we had looked forward to. like i said, like their food but no good if they cant deliver. dont know if it eventually arrived or not as we were out for half an hour. not good enough, very...
