2 people doing delivery orders, one cooking, one serving, crowd of people waiting to make orders/pick up deliveries/hot items. Young man with glasses on staff yelling 'who needs a breakfast' because he hadn't made a note as he took orders, was clear some people took advantage of this for free food. He was serving in the pick up window which didnt help. They really needed some management and training in customer service/work practice during busy foot fall periods. The craziest part is that one of his older colleages (blond middle aged woman) was cheering him on even after he started yelling 'breakfast' and 'what do you want' to people who would then come forward and say they were still waiting for a roll/bagettue, no sorry, please or thank you, just what do you want after people had already been waiting on him. Absolute madness, very unprofessional. *there was young dark haired woman quietly saying sorry and looking very embarrassed at the situation. There was still time for the other staff members to make jokes and have a giggle as this situatuon got worse, not normally a problem but probably not the best time for a chat.
If there was a manager or team leader I there today I would suggest they really need some training and some support as they are clearly struggling with what is a very common issue in retail (surge customers).
I would avoid this location if there is any chance at all...
Read moreWow, what a service received this morning... as cold as their 'hot' food! First, I find myself outside a few minutes past opening time which was forgivable! When a member of the team unlocked the door, I had to wait for them to come through with their welcome sign first. I greeted them by saying "good morning", no response, just an awkward silence whilst they assembled the sign. Then instead of opening the door for me, welcoming me inside to indicate they're ready, or simply acknowledging my mere existence, they went back inside with the door closing behind them... before I even went inside, I'm ready to leave! "How to say I didn't want the early Sunday shift, without saying I didn't want the early Sunday shift." Anyway, if it weren't for the 'Too Good To Go' collection, I wouldn't have been there this morning. No one expects much from Greggs but rudeness wasn't on my list of...
Read moreI walked into this shop with a miniture pup on my arm. One of the workers started being rude, telling me I'm not allowed animals in their food establishment. I completely understand that. Having said that, their are ways to deliver this message to a paying customer... also, I said they should put a visible sign on the window... I took I picture from the car park. The only visible sign is the not smoking sign.. if u Zoom in on the picture, u would clearly see the not smoking sign.. as you can also see their are other little sign at the bottom of the window. So perhaps they should put a bigger sign and at eye sight perhaps so people can see it...
