Dolly's Vintage Tea Rooms — Restaurant in Gosport

We used to love the breakfasts in here always fresh and good quality. I hated the new owners breakfast, I couldn't eat mine so it had to be returned. The hash browns were soggy, the scrambled eggs didn't taste like scrambled eggs, It was completely tasteless, was watery and weird consistency. The sausages were absolutely awful, my husband said they were like eating sawdust. Husband only ate his breakfast because he was starving. The sausages cheaper than cheap sausages, the worst of the worst quality. The old owners used proper butchers sausages. The breakfast was more expensive and they should not be charging 11.50 for that !! I was so disappointed, we love a good breakfast. After that we will no longer be going to dolly's...

I was really looking forward to trying this tea room and took my mum and step dad when they came to visit. Carrot cake was great but everything else was a bit underwhelming. Tea cakes were nice but standard, ice cream was ok but nothing special. The latte I ordered was just plain bad. Didn't feel like we could get the attention of the staff, they were busy getting ready to close, bringing all the signs in from outside and clearing away cakes by 2:30, despite the door saying they were open until 3. Used to visit regularly, but haven’t been for a while and I’ll not be back. Note on the door said there’d be a limited service - fully understand that. However, when you’re sat down and the waitresses have been past you a few times and haven’t even acknowledged you, you get a little miffed. When you go up to the counter and get told “if you sit down and we’ll be over” (no please, sorry, basic good manners) and then get ignored again, you just walk out never to return.
