The Fox Tavern Gosport — Restaurant in Gosport

First visit in a long time to the Fox recently. It's a great little pub and location. But if the title of Gosport's oldest pub is to keep going the pub company (Admiral) urgently need to support the new Landlord and ensure the selection of cask ales is improved. There are several other excellent locations nearby including a craft beer tap room virtually next door. So it's imperative to help the choice in the area that good and different offering is available. It's a positive step to have at least one Cask - London Pride. What a fantastic little pub. Finding this place made our weekend trip away. Phil and Bev run an amazing pub. There are not many true, traditional pubs around but this one is fantastic. We were made very welcome from first stepping in. Fabulous atmosphere. Clean. Fantastic pub food at very good prices. Watched Wales v Scotland Rugby match there with very friendly people and felt so much at home. Wish they would come run a pub like this near us. Cannot recommend this pub highly enough. Was supposed to sing at The Gosport Waterfront Festival on Sunday 29th July but it ended up being cancelled. By chance saw a post on facebook that a jam session was being put together by Roy Peplow (who was also part of the festival ) so we could still perform so i went along. What a great afternoon 😀😀.
