Really nice vibes. Under new ownership since May 2025. Really like what they have done with the place.

Takes a pride in good quality food. All the cakes are home baken locally, and features some unusual ones as well as a few classics. The carrot cake has a great reputation already. I loved the beetroot and ginger cake which was really moist with little pieces of stem ginger in it, without being too spicy. Their cake maker has got a real talent.

Will be going back to try his home-made soup and chilli sometime soon.

Oh, and the coffee is really good, grinds the beans freshly there, and apparently it’s a local coffee? Enquire within to find out more. The proprietor seems to take great pride in buying as much as he can from local small businesses.

A promising start to this newly managed café. Looks tiny on the outside, seems bigger on the inside of this historic pump house building.

Note this isn’t a fast food café though, I struggled to find any negative and this really isn’t a negative, just don’t be in a hurry because everything is made fresh each time, including the bacon, which is cooked there and then so you can wait 10 minutes for your bacon to be cooked, but it’s worth the wait. …. There are books and some board games available while you wait as an alternative to going straight on your phone.

Oh! and really important - free parking for 4hrs! Long may...

Great 1st time visit to the newly reopened The Pump House Gosport. Under new management and very friendly they are too! Coffee and Tea locally sourced from @explorercoffee in Gosport Homemade cakes - the carrot cake … omg!!! A must try!

There is a lot more room inside than before, it feels way more spacious and the music / decor is refreshing and cool. Seating outside...

Feel a bit disappointed with our 1st lunch visit today 😲 sausage bap tasted nice although the bap not great quality. Pot of tea lovely. However the cake was very poor, wet lemon sponge and soft tasteless shortbread. Perhaps we picked a bad day for whatever reason. Maybe will try again to give the place a chance to redeem.
