The Windmill is a lovely cosy and family oriented local pub and I can see why the regulars always return, from the helpful and friendly bar staff to the open fires. The tasty Sunday roasts they show on their social media definitely meets expectations in real life, on Sunday my family and I ate here, all the food came out at once and the food was hot, the beef cut through nicely and the chicken was juicy! The Roasties were one of the best roasties I’ve had for a long time. The cheesecake desert was to die for! Well done The Windmill, your dinners are a home from home roast! And I’ll definitely be back again!

The pub put on an afternoon tea event in the beautiful garden for a personal special occasion. Everything was perfect from the delicate sandwiches to the scones with clotted cream. Some of our group chose to have bottomless Prosecco for 2 hours, some opted for the tea served in vintage teapots. A great time was had by all and the service we received was fantastic. Thankyou guys. X

Really good local pub for Gravesend. The garden is a hidden gem as well. Great place to sit when the sun’s out and enjoy a few pints. Loads of seating too so not much need to worry wether there will be space, although it can get busy! The burgers that they do on the bbq on weekends are fantastic as well, all cooked fresh to order. Well worth stopping by if you’re in the area.

I used to drink here many years ago, and myself and some friends have been in a few times recently. We had food yesterday and it was great Better than I expected. Manor Farm Barn and the Prince of Orange which are my local pubs do food but they are very pricey. Our food waa excellent and at a very reasonable price. I met Ed the landlord who as I understand it, is also the chef. I had scampi and chips and my partner had chicken wrap. Both delicious. The times I have visited recently I have been welcomed as If I was a regular and I really appreciate that. I have been served by Ed and two of his waitresses, whom I made a note of their names because they are so happy and friendly. In a pub this is so important to me, my colleagues, friends and family. Looking forward to a big night out with us all as I feel safe and welcomed. Great place, fantastic food and friendly, welcoming staff. I had to write this as I felt so strongly that this place warranted a review, and so I've done it. Great pub Ed, Naomi and Kirsty. Thanks to you and all...

The Windmill Tavern is a precious gem. My wife took me there yesterday for Sunday lunch to mark a rare day off. It was the best Sunday lunch we have ever had out without a doubt! We started with prawn cocktails. This had to be followed by the roast beef and all the trimmings. The topside was superb, perfectly cooked and succulent but the portion was far too generous. There was attention to detail with everything on the plate. The carrot and parsnip were tasty. The cauliflower was cheesy. The roast potatoes were crisp on the outside and fluffy within and the Yorkshire pudding was great both in flavour and texture. The wine we chose was top of the range. And the service was impeccably friendly. All in all I had the best outing for a very long...

shocked just how bad this pub has become. the gardens looked an absolute state - they were always lovely and well kept , there is even a pile of rubbish in one corner.we had gone up for lunch - got there about 2:30 as food was being served from 3pm according to the website - when we asked about food the bartender said yeah supposed to be 3 but knowing this lot it will be more like 5!!! seriously on a sunny saturday afternoon - so we drank our drink and then went to our usual pub where they have lovely food at normal times. BTW my husband had guinness and he said it was one of the worst he's had in a long time!the current landlords should be ashamed of ruining such a...
