Bar Paradise Selby — Restaurant in Great Britain

Was visiting family for the day (22nd august) and was looking for a quick drink before our meal, great little bar with lots of choice from cocktails to coolers,gin to vodka. Megan I think was the barmaid on the night very friendly and easy going helped with our selection. I wanted the watermelon cooler but was told they ran out of watermelon which is a shame as it's my favourite fruit but luckily she offered a second option of bubblegum cooler which also happens to be a flavour I also love, i asked if i could have a shot of vodka with it to which she offered are large range of flavoured vodkas to go with the drink so I asked her to pick for me to accompany the cooler, she chose lime vodka which went beautifully with the bubblegum cooler. Really disappointing visit. Making cocktails with back to customers is needlessly evasive like you're hiding something. Like to see what's going in a cocktail. Tiny martini glasses. Had a Cosmo and could straight away taste how little cranberry and lime there was in there. Shouldn't be able yo taste the booze in a proper cocktail. Menu is tiny and gimmicky had to roll my eyes at the giant pornstar martinis. If you cant make a Cosmo right you ahouldnt be serving cocktails. As pricey as drinks in York city centre cocktail bars. Also kind of expect proper bartenders not some kid that was clearly related to another member of staff and didn't know what he was doing. Looks unprofessional. Made super welcome on arrival at lunch time by fantastic staff from Germany. My wonderful Home B.A.O.R. Returned for evening drinks to find fantastic friendly staff again. Clean venue. Safe venue. Happy venue. Would advice a visit if in the area. The pub has a gardening theme going on, which looks good, But the star theme here is by far the staff. I hope the owner know how valued these great staff are to His Business. Yorkshire people and Yorkshire food at it's best.
