Used to love this pub. It's been shut down for some time due to the landlords policy on tenants. Finally its open again. Went in tonight. The place was dead. Five people in ourselves included. Love the chocolate stout but very expensive at £5.50, especially as they have shrunk the bottle from 500ml to 335ml. My wife had a small wine, which was it's usual dreadful standard, and cost £4.20. Our grandson called us while there and we were advised to stop as they have a no mobile policy. We left rapidly. Not a chance we will return to this pub or any other Sam Smiths pub. Dreadful places. She remembers customers names and what they drink even if they've not been in for a while. She is so friendly and welcoming.
