Da Claudio — Restaurant in Great Britain

Da Claudio's is well known for being one of the best restaurants in Lanarkshire! I've always loved coming here with my family but since going Vegan I wasn't too sure.

Normally when going to local independent restaurants there is now the anxiety of 'will they have anything that I can eat?' If not, will they be difficult about me asking for something? The good news is they have a full Vegan menu with 4 excellent options for starter and main. The staff are also super helpful if you want to make any adjustments. Plus, their menu is on their website for those like me who like to check before I go.

Da Claudio's is a fantastic modern and fully inclusive restaurant which continues to live up to its reputation as one of the best in Lanarkshire.

Went for dinner here last week and looked forward to it due to all of the reviews. I can honestly say I was sadly disappointed. “Chef Mike” needs retiring - nuclear hot food only achievable by a microwave, dessert of the day changing to another dessert of the day after ordering, atmosphere only achieves a 3 star due to the 80s music being played - love me some Erasure 😂 I love a restaurant that pops warm bread down to nibble on while checking the menu. Random 3 slices of bread for 2 and on this occasion, Chef Mike would have been welcomed to heat this up a bit if they didn’t have an oven. Tony Mac’s is a few doors down and despite it being a chain, I’ve had nicer (and better value)...

Surely this must be the best restaurant in Motherwell, even after allowing for the hideous competition e.g. Tony Macaroni, or that awful Italian restaurant in Carluke it is seriously good. I had the seafood spaghetti and I requested extra chilli. I wasn't disappointed, the seafood which included Monkfish was absolutely delicious and was suitably spiced, unlike just about anywhere else in Lanarkshire where a request for chilli proffers an offer if sweet chilli sauce. As a Londoner who loves food and fine dining/Michelin listed restaurants this place is up there in my opinion. In the words of Arnie,...
