I ordered the Chicken and Chorizo and the Meatballs in Sauce. I was extremely dissapointed at the lack of quality in this food. It's not often you find a place delivering Paella which is one of my favourite foods. I ordered through Deliveroo and Paid just Under £10 for the Paella and about £6 for the meatballs, well if you can call them that. Where do I start?
I opened my delivery bag and unpopped the lids for the food. I was immediately hit by an awful smell, it's not how food should smell. Reluctantly I tried some of the paella as I was plating it up, almost spat it out it was that bad. The Chorizo gave me a kick back from the first bite just horrible and I barely swallowed it. Rubbery, Horrible taste, Not fresh, Smelt off, Put it down didn't touch the rest of the paella. The rice was awful too and wouldn't suprise me if it was uncle bens reheated.
I moved on to the meatballs which were also very rubbery, these did not give me a horrible immediate kickback in my mouth but instead they lacked any taste at all, Bland, No flavour, Again smelt off and the only thing that was ok from this dish was the sauce, which was actually alright but given the meats were this bad I can't say that was a positive.
It all got binned, and I lost £16
My guess is that they have frozen their food that hasn't been sold on the day or days whilst it is still considered "fresh", food that should really have been binned, Recieved a deliveroo order and reheated it in the microwave giving it the rubbery texture and sent it out.
For £16 this is terrible standards and quality.
I am not the only person to comment on this restaurants meat having no taste, rubber texture, no flavour. (Look also at Debbie's Just eat review on 06/12/2021) saying the exact same.
For a place that has high rating from 19 users my second guess is that they have created a bunch of dummy accounts to boost their rating. With the food I was delivered I wish I could have given a 0 out of 5.
TLDR: No flavour to meat, Horrible gone off smelling meats, rubbery textures to the meats, No freshness at all. I'd...
Read moreI had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. The staff were extremely rude and unwelcoming, which made the visit uncomfortable. To make matters worse, they’ve placed tables outside the shop in such a way that the public can’t walk through properly. This is not only inconsiderate but also unsafe for pedestrians, especially families with children, wheelchair users, or anyone with mobility issues. Poor customer service and a lack of respect for the community — I won’t be returning and don’t recommend this place. Need to inform the...
Read moreI managed to go here twice over the bank holiday weekend… that’s how good the food is.
Possibly my new favourite cafe/diner in Charminster. I love its quiet and chilled atmosphere, I love its menu offerings but most of all its portion sizes and prices! Great value for money, all the food is great and I think my favourite so far has to be the Nachos!!
The breakfasts are immense, the breakfast wrap is great and I intend on trying a fry up from there!
They even serve beer! It can’t get much better. Defo worth a try if you’re in...
