The food here is genuinely tasty — we had the Adana Kofte and Lamb Shish, both served with rice, salad, and bread. No complaints about the quality of the food itself. However, £17 per dish feels overpriced, especially considering the very basic interior that doesn’t quite match the cost of a dine-in experience. What surprised me most was the drinks — £3 for a 330ml can of Coca-Cola is extremely high. Most places charge around £1.50 or less. I asked whether takeaway is cheaper — they said prices are the same, which is unusual and doesn’t offer much flexibility for customers. I’ve visited many Turkish restaurants across the UK where food was just as good (or better), with nicer decor and more reasonable prices. Me and my husband went to this restaurant for first time yesterday. The restaurant definitely met our expectations and even went beyond. Food was very delicious and nicely presented. The staff was very friendly, polite and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, I felt a bit cold as it was rainy evening and a lady from the staff noticed that and came over to offer and asked if I would like her to bring a heater to so I would feel more comfortable. I was very surprised and they made me feel special with such guesture. After holiday in Turkey we have been to various restaurants and cafes that offered Turkish kitchen, but none of them were anywhere near to what this place is. Hope your restaurant does well and...

Our first time visiting the Golden Shish and we were not disappointed in any way! As a group of 5 dining there, we opted for the hot mixed starter and the mixed kebab banquet and it was pretty much faultless. The restaurant itself is clean and well presented, the staff were extremely attentive and enthusiastic without being intrusive. We had a delicious meal that represented really good value for money and generous portions that left everyone full to the brim and very content. I really hope that this place does well as they work hard to please their customers and we will certainly be back again in the near future.
