Cafe Culture — Restaurant in England

Wouldn’t give this food to my dog. I apologise for expressing views with such an extreme opening line but it’s the only summary I think that suits what I have just experienced.

Order wrong but didn’t bother saying anything. Mushrooms still dry in the middle where they haven’t been cooked through. The worst hash browns I have ever had. The hash browns use to be very good indeed but they changed suppliers a number of months back and I am guessing this is based on price and the quality is equally reflected. They don’t even look like hash’s browns anymore. Oil from the eggs flooded my plate. Vegetable sausage I had to leave it looked that bad - I find it quite difficult to believe for one minute they believe people will honestly eat that with the way it appears. Owner and plays ignorant by being courteous enough to thank you as you leave but never checks if everything is ok. Probably because he knows what he’s going to be told if he asks the question. Feeling really disappointed and quite frankly angry and insulted too by what I have just paid for 3 x breakfasts and the diabolical slop that was presented to us on a plate. It’s a shame because the staff and owner are nice enough people but they are very ignorant to the disgusting food they are knocking out and to bone idle to question themselves before putting a plate of rubbish food in front of customers. The reason for my low service rating when the staff are so polite is their failure to check if everything’s ok as it’s quite apparent they know the food being served isn’t good. Also the fact that they don’t listen to orders properly. A shame because the atmosphere is quite nice and it is clean inside . This place is perfect for stopping and gagging a coffee but avoid food at all costs. Feeling truly annoyed at the shocking food served to me this morning and quite frankly feel very insulted I was charged what I was for it. Been a massive fan me and my wife for ages of Cafe Culture and a loyal fan, especially for their amazing fresh and good quality priced food!; however not long ago last year they changed the menu prices to increase them along with changing the quality of some of their food. This place was a massive bargain before but now feels it has gone in the other direction as the prices were always good, food always fresh but from our last visit it was disappointing that chips are no longer served with burgers but the meal is the same price and you must pay more for the chips; otherwise I always loved the burgers and chips. The meat of the burgers no longer tasted fresh and sweet with a bit of spice in, which made my standard for them fall. Also the past three visits before we had disappointing ice cream milkshakes, which used to be really good but each time came with room temp cream and contents with no ice being added, which used to make them so good and taste fresh. It would be 5 stars but we both have not been for a while as sadly we have been put of from returning...

(Sept 2021) Been over a year since I last visited here and sadly it's really gone down hill service wise. Tried ordering drinks, firstly I asked for Cherry Tango and I was told they don't do that drink (it's on the drinks menu priced at £1.50) then I asked for 7up, was told no we don't have that either. Ordered grilled chicken burger with cheese and burger sauce and I was given chicken and bacon burger with BBQ sauce (which I don't like) let the staff know I was given the wrong food and explained what I had actually ordered and I was given the wrong meal for the second time. I was given a refund but to be honest there were so many negatives with everything that the whole experience was pretty much ruined from start to finish. So disappointing as I really used to enjoy eating here, not sure I'll be going back...
