Isabel's Brasserie — Restaurant in Great Britain

I was fortunate enough to choose Isabel's for a large surprise gathering to celebrate my parents 70th birthdays.

Sarah, one of the owners, did an impeccable job of helping me organise the event. She is a great listener and a consummate professional. Really knows her stuff and was very kind and considerate throughout. The event was so important to us as a family and I'm happy we placed our trust in Sarah and her team.

The day itself was simply perfect. Lizzi was running the restaurant on the day. Lizzi and the team ensured the event remained a surprise up until the intended 'reveal'. The food was lovely, portions generous and the prices great considering the large portions of high quality, tasty, well cooked good. The entire team were fantastic - on the ball, adaptive, all with a smile and a polite, friendly approach. Impeccable service. Exactly what you would want, especially with such a special event.

Multiple people in our party remarked at how lovely the restaurant is, how gorgeous the food was and how well run the event was. I'll definitely go back and would recommend Isabel's to anyone planning an event or special occasion/celebration.

I want to make a special mention - Lizzi was amazing. She treated her team with calm, kind, compassion, while making sure operations ran like a perfectly tuned engine. She was lovely towards us all, with lots of people mentioning to me how nice she is and how much of an amazing job she was doing. My husband took me here for my Birthday, it was a wonderful couple of hours severed by Pietro and Sarah, the service was brilliant, Sarah was incredibly bubbly, down to earth and fun loving, Pietro was super attentive, warm and knowledgable. was the other. We had a selection of Canapés bought to the table and then started with Olives, Bread, Mix Martinis (Gin, Vodka & Vermouth) as well as a bottle of Prosecco. On to our main order, to start my husband had French Onion Soup and I had the Mushroom Cassoulet, both full of rich flavour, quality ingredients and decent portion sizes. For mains I had the Tournedos Fillet Steak, cooked rare (it came it out a little more rare than I would usually have it but I’m fine with that) and my husband had the Fillet of Halibut, cooked to perfection with glistening flakes of fish, the mains came with, Puréed Parsnips, Carrots, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Fries and Dauphinois Potatoes. Delicious and SO filling, but we couldn’t go without dessert… my husband had the Trio of Desserts: Ginger Pudding, Lemon Posset, Brownie… I’m not a fan of ginger or lemon desserts so Sarah asked the kitchen if it was possible to make an alternative, she came out with Brownie, Eton Mess & Chocolate Pancake - Yum! I cannot thank Isabelle’s and Sarah (owner/manager) enough. It was my dad’s 80th birthday and I couldn’t be there as I live half way around the world, so I’d called up in advance to see if I could pay for the meal as a surprise. I just thought it would be my credit card at the end with the bill, but Sarah suggested that she write a gift card from me, and she’d give it to them at the beginning of the meal. I dictated a message and Sarah made it all happen tonight. By giving it at the beginning they knew they could “push the boat out” as it was all paid for.

My dad was so overcome with emotion that he couldn’t even call me to thank me (my mom texted me!) and it was such a nice surprise for him, made even nicer as they said Sarah was so kind.
