Great little hidden gem tucked away in Kingsthorpe. Great tasting kebab/shawarma at decent prices. Portion sizes are good too. I got a mixed meat wrap 'meal' for £11.99 which is a good price considering there's a lot of places these days charging the same just for 1 burger.
Magic Doner is better than GDK and the regular kebab shops down Wellingborough Road.
Pros: they have their own homemade dips which are really nice. The mint sauce is very desi style and the chilli has a nice kick without being too overpowering like Spice Hut.
Cons: parking is difficult on the main road so either use side roads or the Waitrose carpark. Also they only have 4 chairs inside which are really low. They need higher bar stools to eat in comfort.

Read moreAlways had good food however the last order they obviously run out of salad so send 2 boxes of tomato with a small amount of cucumber, when I called the shop I had an angry worker who tried to tell me they was tired and it was a long day but then came out with the excuse if I select "mixed salad" all you get is tomato & cucumber? Yet there is only 3 other options lettuce, cabbage or onion so common sense would say mixed salad is all salad. The customer service is appalling, there number isn't even a landlines it's a mobile & when you call all you get is a "hello" I had to ask if I was even calling a business.....

I've tried mixed chicken and lamb shawarma wrap, and sandwich. And they both has blown me away with the freshness and taste. The bun for the sandwich is light and crispy, and the wrap is not too thick and not killing the taste of the meat. The portions are very, very generous. Guys behind the counter are always nice and friendly making the kebabs exactly to perfection. All in all if you like kebab, you'll...
