I have been away from Glasgow for 24 years ,initially living on the Isle of Coll and then Barra and after finding the Hebridean islands a little inbred I left for pastures new in Somerset after meeting a sexy farmers daughter....I returned to visit my sister last week for a few days and we nipped into this traditional Southside pub frequented by Irish decendants. I was impressed by the barman's t-shirt , it being an anti fascist statement of St Pauli football club in Germany. I also am a St. Pauli fan, and I immediately complimented his apparel. Surprisingly, he was rude ,obnoxious, and quite dismissive and turned his back on me, making me wait a minute or two for my Guinness . He said something like, " it makes no difference to me...." What a horrible little man . Me and my sister had a fun afternoon with most of the regulars, and we didn't let it bother us much but I have to mention it .
