The management have very poor customer relations skills, whatever you do, do not point out that they do not know how to make an esspresso martini, even in the mildest and most constructive terms, the mizog flump daughter of the owners cannot withstand the impact of such a statement on her ego, her parents are likely to drunkenly scream in your face that they will "do you in" for having the tenacity to offer such valid criticism of their little (LOL) princess.
PS. I shall be popping back for my promised "doing in" from the fat, sweaty four eyed (clearly good looks and personnel hygiene run in the family), has been, owner, some time soon.

Read moreWe've just had Sunday lunch at the newly refurbished Cricketers pub. It was a really nice experience ☺️. The pub itself is squeaky clean, bright and fresh. Nice chilled music, friendly and smiling staff ( this alone is hard to find around here!). The food was like a home cooked roast. Carvery so you choose you're meat and yorkies and help yourself to roast potatoes and loads of veg, fresh gravy and sauces. All cooked really well and very reasonably priced. Annie the landlady was charming and very attentive. They also have great live music, Fridays and Saturdays and a singer on Sundays I believe. If you're looking for a decent friendly pub for a full on session or like us a chilled lunch I highly recommend...
Read moreOnce again let down by the fact there is always the excuse sorry we have run out of items on the menu , it was Friday evening for goodness sake 7.oclock and liver and bacon already gone and it was the same the last time we went . I asked for a light bite flat bread no sorry we have run out then changed it to we don't do light bits in the evening WHY NOT!!!!. The waitress ignored any comments we made about you are always running out of food no apology just an indifferent attitude. The chips were soggy and full of oil as in my opinion the oil wasn't hot enough and the fried egg was cooked in old oil it had black bits in it the ham was so thin you could see the through it . Not a place I am going to give anymore...
