The Sandwich Box — Restaurant in Great Britain

I've just been in for a lunchtime sandwich and was greeted by a fairly friendly gentleman behind the counter. I had 3 children in tow, 2 of which were toddlers. First of all, as soon as I walked in I wanted to walk straight back out. The food that was inside the cold cabinet looked absolutely disgusting. I stood there for ages wondering what I could order that wouldn't make us all sick. Both the man and the woman looked very sweaty and dirty and I really didn't want to order anything. But my children were hungry so I did.

There was a very angry looking woman behind the counter who was about to make the sandwich I ordered. My little ones pushed their noses against the glass deli cooler, and the surly looking woman basically told them in the most horrible of ways to stop doing that. I was in shock but tried to bite my tongue. My little ones did it again and she yelled at them, Get Your Mouth Off Of There. I was completely shocked at how unbelievably rude and horrible this lady was to small children They are 2 and 3 years old!

I walked out and she slated me to my friend that's stayed in to wait on her order. I will NEVER return. I didn't taste the food(thank God 🤢) but if it was made by that horrid beast of a...

We popped into the Sandwich Box most mornings during our stay in the area to load up on food for the day's walk. Each time I left with a smile on my face and some amusing pointers to help me understand Yorkshire a little better. Oh yeah, and the food was great! Been to pateley bridge today, called in at the sandwich box for a sausage and bacon sandwich and bacon and egg sandwich, fantastic food /service and best of all excellent entertainment from the owners.
