Booked for lunch last Sunday (2nd August)Waited 20 minutes before being asked what we wanted to drink. Both drinks arrived separately within the next 10 minutes. Starter was fine, although very little choice. Main course which was luke warm arrived a while later. Accompanying veg looked like something one would buy from a supermarket in a packet only they might have chopped the whole cabbage leaves. I was more like a bad salad. We receive a desert menu, regrettably no one came to take our order for 25 minutes. by that time we were fed up of waiting and requested the bill. We’ll be back, really,...
Read moreFANTASTIC FOOD!!! We dropped in for brunch today as we had arrived in Stokesley early for an event and had an hour to kill. The food, service and ambience was fantastic. There were tables outside but it was threatening rain so we chose inside (rightly, as it promptly tipped it down). It’s quite compact downstairs but much more room upstairs. We had ‘shrooms on toast with poached eggs and a chicken, chorizo and haloumi salad and shared them between two of us. Both dishes were wonderful and tasty. Restaurant quality, absolutely not just your average cafe. Each dish could feed one person in full, no half portions for brunch here. £46 inc drinks & tip, good value. Thoroughly...
