Bamboo Garden — Restaurant in Great Yarmouth

The first time i visited Bamboo Garden i was left disappointed, the Singapore chow mein wasn't very spicy and quite bland, and the ribs were very fatty and what meat was on them was tough, i decided to try again as i work till 11pm, this is the nearest takeaway to where i work and i was hungry, so i ordered special mix tom yum fried rice, and a special mix teriyaki, this special mix teriyaki isnt on the menu, i requested it rather than a single ingredient teriyaki dish, but yet again i was disappointed, even more so than the first time, both dishes were bland, the meats in the teriyaki were chewy and sparse, the sauce was tasteless and watery, the rice had no egg, tiny bits of pork and the smallest shrimp I've ever seen, and just like the teriyaki it was completely tasteless, at £6.20 per dish i wasn't very happy and there won't be a...

Have used this takeaway a few times, we aren't from the area and its difficult to know where to trust for a decent meal. Last night's meal from Bamboo Garden was an great experience, the young lady on the phone was very polite and took our order perfectly, when I arrived the order wasn't ready, however I was earlier than I expected. I observed the young lady on the phone and dealing with orders, seemingly taking it all in her stride and very polite with customers. Absolutely shocking service. Yes we know its Christmas eve but so does the company. They were taking on far too many orders for what they could handle. Was told food would take 45 minutes so arrived after 45 minutes and then had to wait a further 40 minutes for my food. I would have been happy to wait longer at home but very annoyed to have to sit in a takeaway for 40 minutes on xmas eve. Could at least put the radio on or something.
