Managed to get a table here for Sunday lunch..

Starters were a good size and very well presented.

Sunday dinner was an absolute triumph! All the elements were perfectly cooked and tasted absolutely wonderful. The meat was tender and succulent and the vegetables and accompaniments were excellent.

My family and I have been coming to the area for years and always feel the food is generally poor however Marlowes has turned this opinion round! Hand on heart the best food we’ve had here in 10 years

What a hidden gem.

How refreshing to have such a wonderful dining experience, so rare these days! From start to finish it was OUTSTANDING!!

The service was exceptional, the atmosphere was perfect (relaxing and so lovely), the wine was delightful and the food was some of the nicest I’ve had in a long time. We chose the pie for our main course and it was ‘to die for’. The gravy was thick and flavoursome and the vegetables were cooked to perfection and so tasty.

Lastly, the team. Again, it’s rare to find great teams these days. They all worked so well together, they were efficient, friendly and professional.

I cannot wait...

Having visited Whites this evening my girlfriend and I are not quite sure if we visited the same restaurant as the other reviewers here. The staff were trying their best but not particularly welcoming or attentive, which in of itself does not merit a poor review (in fact this is one of the first reviews I’ve ever written). However the food was extremely low quality - both the barbecue chicken and lasagna were tasteless. The fish and chips that came out for other tables looked good, and if you were to come here I’d strongly recommend you order something other than what we had. The drinks were very well priced...
