Always enjoy a visit to Godrevy cafe when staying in Hayle. It's a good 3 mile walk along the beach. So is a great place to stop for a break before walking back. Great choice of food, including vegan and gluten free options. Very friendly, happy, helpful staff. The white bread sandwich was gluten free beef, horseradish and pink onion. The gf bread was a great texture, taste and had a lovely crust. The other doorstep sarnie was hubby's brie and bacon. We also had gf white chocolate and raspberry brownies which were incredible. Needed to walk back 3 miles to burn a few calories.

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. What a great little cafe restaurant next to a stunning beach. They clearly care about sourcing quality ingredients and an attentive and friendly service. The menu is brilliantly varied with simple but beautifully executed lunchtime food. This place is far beyond what you would expect for a quick lunch by the beach. Really outstanding.

Great location. Arrived with friends for coffee only to be made to feel very unwelcome. Barista was so rude. Why work I. The service industry if you can’t handle a few customers. Made to wait outside to be served for ages then again to receive our orders before being permitted to sit inside. Not great in December. Food was nice but not worth the abuse.

After reading other reviews maybe I was expecting more. Godrevy cafe food was good, but the tomato and bread in my full English were a bit hard and lacking in flavour. Coffee was ok, but I've had much better. They did have soya milk for my wife which was a plus. Downstairs dining area is very small and the upstairs is very noisy with the high ceiling giving bad acoustics. Table cleaning and clearing was a bit slow and customers had often sat at a table before it was cleared. The sea view was also quite limited, and parking is £3 for 3 hours and run by the National Trust. Even in the off season this charge will remain. The price for two coffees, full English and a Cornish light breakfast was £18.45 (September 2016). At this price we won't be...

We love your cafe. It's our cafe of choice and recommend it to everyone but there's a few things you could do to make it even better. 1. Sort out the swarms of wasps that plague customers and your staff. It will undoubtedly be affecting your business, we've noticed it's notably quieter than usual. 2. Please bring the atmosphere back by playing music. Upstairs is like a waiting room. The acoustics are terrible with loud echoey voices, pushing and pulling of chairs etc. It's not a nice experience. We miss the chilled atmosphere you once had, the beachy colour theme and artwork. It's now preferable to 'take away'. Thank you for providing great food and drink. Despite all this we will always prefer you over other...

Went for breakfast here and was a little disappointed at the lack of options available.

Nonetheless we all opted for a breakfast sandwich. Little ones had apple juices and we had tea.

The sandwiches weren't that hot and they had no white bread so we were left with granary or ciabattas. There was no sauces on the table and unfortunately it felt like the ingredients were a little cheap.

Put it this way a Tesco or Morrisons breakfast would have been tastier and cheaper.

For nearly £40 I would have expected a little more I'm afraid.

I'm not one for criticising small businesses so some good points - clean tables and room, beautiful spot to eat and the cakes looked delicious behind...
