Golden Inn — Restaurant in Harlech

The worst Chinese I have ever eaten. Me and my partner ordered dinner as we were staying nearby. We ordered salt and pepper chicken, fried rice, chow mein, chips and prawn toast. Firstly I was greeted to this takeaway shop which felt like I was in a jumble sale. A male and female came out the back room shouting at eachother and then got my food. I asked for prawn crackers and the lady shouted at me and said I needed to order them. I said I was happy to pay for them then the man handed me them. All the food was flavourless and the prawn toast couldn’t even be classed as that as it was cold toast with white fish paste in it. It went straight into the bin. They forgot the chips we had paid for and said for us to drive back and collect them which would have been a 25 minute round trip. It truly was the worst food I have ever tried to eat. They didn’t do a BBQ sauce so I got a gravy which was lumpy and had clearly been half defrosted. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. When I called the takeway to tell them how disappointed we was the male shouted down the phone and said bring it all back but quite frankly I could not be bothered to drive 25 minutes for £30. He said he had never once had a customer complain about his food and told me I was just trying to get free food. Simply all I wanted was a nice...

We were pretty disappointed unfortunately :( we ordered 2 bags of spring rolls and after eating a couple and questioning the taste, realised that they had small pieces of meat. When we went back to ask for them to be changed, we were met with rudeness and asked why we ate 2 of them then? But the taste was mild and it was only upon seeing the meat that we knew. Always want to give the benefit of the doubt. It seems like a lovely place in a lovely town and they gave us 3 bags to compensate, however one of them also had meat in it. Had to return after 45 mins for them to cook, thats cool but after checking when we picked it up one dinner was missing and there would be a further 30 mins plus wait to receive this. Chips were dry and the ribs were dry and bland seemed old? The vegetable chow mein was really nice however. Info for others...There is no mention of ingredients / allergies on the menu and limited possible? vegetarian options ( unsure as may be cooked in animal fat) .. no vegan . No tofu I could see on menu. Sorry to only leave 2 star but think good to...
