Really frustrated to have eaten here. Looked like a nice place, seen it lots of times but this is the first time weâve had a chance. Unfortunately, for vegans, avo toast was the only option (without honeyâŠwhy was that there anyway?) for ÂŁ9.50. Fine - price is totally fine⊠but when it arrives, thatâs when you feel properly disrespected. The cheapest, most ordinary supermarket bread, and a measly two tiny, palm sized pieces (I have small hands, too), bland, unseasoned avocado, and ONE strawberry, cut in half and placed at the side đ€Ł - described on the menu as âserved with strawberryâ - a bit literal really. I just canât believe you would serve the avocado toast with one strawberry at the side and include that in your description. Anyway, it was totally terrible and we left there very hungry and annoyed. I also had to go and ask for my bread to be toasted, as my partners was toasted and mine wasnât. They did it. Brought back a new single tiny piece of toast on the plate.. no extra toast or âsorry about thatâ just the general and uncomfortable vibe of âwe donât like when anyone mentions anything negativeâ and we donât like our customers. I honestly get so annoyed when we buy poor food and also get the bonus of dealing with surly teens. Dave yourself the money and the risk of going hungry and get yourself a cauliflower roll from Y Groser...
Read moreWas a little nervous after some of the earlier reviews a few months ago but seems they have straightened everything out because we had a lovely visit today. I had the avocado on sourdough and added the bacon - absolutely delicious with lemon, peashoots, chili flakes, pomegranate and strawberry! My boyfriend had the mozzarella focaccia and it looked so good I almost had good envy! Friendly service in a lovely setting in the middle of Harlech which set me on a browsing mission of the whole town. Beautiful things in the shop. I managed to restrain myself and buy just 2 things but I want my home to look like that!...
Read moreThe cafe is pretty and for adults the venue is lovely (food and drinks were great) but with a family there are issues, albeit that could easily be solved.
There is no baby change in the toilet (a wall drop down looks to be easily accommodated) and there is no kids menu. Both these things made our visit much less enjoyable than it might otherwise have been.
I appreciate the venue might not want kids (although there is a high chair) but surely in a town that has such a strong seasonal trade, alienating a big proportion of holidaymakers...
