I'd rather start with the + but folk often only read the beginning so here goes... (tl;dr at the end)

Arrived for Sunday lunch soon after 12, two adults and two young teenagers. No mains on the menu, only five on the Specials board and we had four of them. This review is a joint effort, though I myself had a good sample of three of them.

My wife's ham and eggs was OK. The portion was generous, in fact possibly too much ham, but mostly it was just plain. Nothing special. For £15 I'd expect a twist or just something really special. This wasn't that. 2/5

A couple of mouthfuls into the battered cod my son said it was 'really not good'. He'll eat most things and eats a lot so it's not like him to leave anything, but he ate the chips and left most of the fish, downgrading it to 'terrible'. I had a couple of mouthfuls and had to agree. Cod should be flaky and tender. This was chewy and didn't taste good, suggesting it was overcooked and possibly that it had been frozen. 1/5

My daughter had a couple of mouthfuls of the lasagne and gave up. I tried it and while I could see that it was not what she might have expected, I quite liked it. It was more tomatoey than beefy but that's down to preference and it was far and away the best of the four meals. 4/5 from me. 3/5 from my daughter.

Mine was, allegedly, a minced beef and onion pie. Again, for £15 I'd expect something a cut above a normal pub pie. This was several tiers below. The puff pastry lid on a shortcrust base would have been fun on a good pie, but here it seemed like a gimmick. Both types of pastry were kinda average. The biggest let down was the filling. It was just bland. If you bought cheap frozen mince from a low-end supermarket and heated it as per the packet you'd get this. Not only was there no noticeable onion, there was no evidence of ANY attempt to give this any flavour. No apparent herbs or spices, no Worcestershire or soy sauce. No garlic. No noticeable salt and pepper. Even a few peas or some grated carrot would have added something. This was worthy of a 1980's school or hospital dinner. Not actively unpleasant so 2/5.

So onto the better stuff. No one welcomed us, told us to find our own table, brought us menus or told us to order at the bar when ready, we had to work that all out for ourselves. However, the staff were all polite and cheerful and the food came promptly.

The views are amazing, of course, and are largely what you're paying for, though if you're eating here you're probably staying nearby and travelling around the area so you have great views around you all the time.

The Snowdon Craft Bitter is extremely good, I wish I could get it back home! 5+/5!

Tl;dr: Looks like a great place to drink and socialize, but the food isn't even bog-standard pub fayre; it's sub-standard and not worth half the...

The worst experience I have had in a long time. Myself, my wife, my auntie and Daughter visited here on Saturday afternoon for lunch. When we entered the restaurant we waited 15 minutes (Empty Restaurant) and nobody assisted us so we sat ourselves down and waited a further 20 minutes before we were served. We also had to get our own menus, when we were eventually served, the owner or waitress hard to tell. Clearly did not want us to be there, she was very short and not interested in making us feel welcome at all. She took our order, and away she went. Can you believe the chef is incapable of making a Tuna Sandwich for a child! After the server took our order she then had the audacity to sit a table down, and offer them an extremely warm welcome. She stayed with them and recommended meals, drinks etc. At this point we were almost ready to leave until we were given our drinks. When the meals arrived they looked good although our daughters mini fish meal didn't look to great, the fish was clearly out of a box I'd say a Brakes basic battered fish. We had no check back on our food to ensure all was ok, although the restaurant was quiet. When I went to pay, I wasn't asked if the food was okay. Just asked if I was ok, at this point the lady obvisouly realised that we were not happy but didn't even apologise. I certainly wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Awful...

Blas Restaurant – Twr y Felin Hotel, St Davids, Pembrokeshire, Wales.

From the moment we arrived, our experience at Blas Restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. The food, crafted by Chef Paul, was exquisitely presented and bursting with flavour, with every dish showcasing the finest locally produced ingredients. His passion for Welsh produce truly shines through on the plate.

The service was equally impressive. Calvin and Ollie were utterly charming, striking the perfect balance of attentiveness without ever being intrusive. Their warmth and professionalism elevated the evening and made us feel genuinely cared for.

A particularly touching gesture was being presented with a small, uniquely Welsh gift in honour of my 60th birthday, an unexpected and thoughtful token that made the occasion even more special.

Blas Restaurant delivered a dining experience that combined elegance, creativity, and heartfelt hospitality. It was a most pleasurable evening, and one that will certainly...

We went on a Monday, lured in by the reviews and promise of a filling lunch. In the end, we left very disappointed and notably poorer. The food was expensive without any fresh ingredients aside from the side salad. The seafood special was a premium price for a tiny amount of from-the-freezer pieces. The veggie burger was similarly sad: a typical veg-and-bean freezer patty with a "sourdough" bun. The service was fair and the surprise view was excellent, though the inside atmosphere was tired and awkward. The first thing we were greeted with on entry are two NO ICE CREAM signs - very strange. The location and building have a lot of potential, but without good food and better ambience I don't think we'll plan a return visit.

Place looks completely run down and then you step on to their terrace and the views are spectacular. Actually, even the terrace is a bit run down but I could easily put up with that when you could see the castle, beaches and a huge swathe of coast. I read a few reviews before I started to write and in contrast to some I found the food just fine. My wife and I both had the same seafood platter which is essentially breaded or battered seafood and chips. But very well cooked, piping hot when it was served as were the chips. In fact I thought the chips excellent. Dogs liked their sausages too. 🙂. Overall, with the sun shining this was a very pleasant lunch experience.
