Spotted an English bakery called Couzens so how could I not get something from there so I got the iced bun which was fluffy and decadent. The cream they use is synthetic or I would have got the scone too. There is another branch in Welwyn but it is it not in the town centre area hence out of my radar.

Staff are nice. Food is basic but the price is expensive. 3.45 for a bacon roll. And it was hardly anything special. The bacon was cold and the roll was squashed. There are no prices on display for anything and then you are shocked when it comes to paying.

First and last time eating here. I visited with my family and ordered lunch. When we were served we were not asked if we would like to eat in or takeaway, and as the tables were mostly empty, we assumed we could sit down. Having sat down to eat, we were approached by one of the staff who very loudly told us that we needed to pay more to eat in (tall blonde lady, unnecessarily loud voice). We advised that we were happy to leave but she said to stay on this occasion although she had already embarrassed us in front of other diners. Feeling awkward, I went up to order a coffee and paid to drink this inside, hoping this would settle matters. Shortly after another staff member invited herself to sit with us (purple hair) and proceeded to tell us (again) that we should not be sitting inside. Bearing in mind this is the lady that served us, we politely reminded her that she did not offer us this advice at the time of ordering. I also found it quite over the mark that she sat at our table to ‘have a word’. When she eventually left us to finish our food and drink (including our small child) she proceeding to speak to the table behind us, who were also not advised that they needed to pay to sit down. My husband overheard the staff discussing us in the kitchen, speaking so loudly it wasn’t hard to overhear. Overall this was a very uncomfortable situation and the food was average at most and overpriced even as a takeaway. It would be helpful to train staff to simply ask “eat in or takeaway” when serving at the tills, to avoid...

Sorry this morning i am going to have a rant. Yesterday lunchtime, I went couzons bakery in harlow town. I thought I would buy myself a lovely ham salad roll, i waited nearly 10 minutes for this roll while I was waiting all I could hear was one of the members of staff bragging on how many timesl She had injured herself there and been to hospital. Finally I got my roll, which was around £3.50. Finally getting home and Looking forward to eatting my roll , i took it out of the paper bag, i found that the roll had no butter not even a handful of shredded lettice half a slice of cucumber, half a slice of tomato no mayo and to top it all not even half a slice of ham which was paper thin. I had to open a pack of my own ham and add some more salad + mayo to make it edible. I am so disapointed and disgusted that i wont be going back there again and i thought i should let people know how bad it is there staff are lazy and just dont care where is the manager and customer service the company beed to sort there staff out. Next time i get a ham salad roll i will drive to Simmonds amazing rolls or even better make it my bloody self. Sorry hope every one has a nice day and lovely lunches but hopefully not...

I came to meet family today, I ordered food and I wasn't asked if I wanted to takeaway or eat in, they gave me takeaway food, fine, I then went to sit with my family who had already ordered/eating. I was planning on breastfeeding so I didn't even know if I'd get to eat my food in the time we was there anyway. I was approached so rudely by a member of staff who raised her voice to tell me I paid for a takeaway not eat in and eating in costs more so I can't eat my food on the premises and I have to take it away. We was so disgusted by her attitude we just left and went elsewhere to catch up as after she stood stared from behind the counter to ensure I wasn't going to take a bite of my doughnut or sandwich. Disgusting to speak to your customers like that and a simple "eat in food has a small charge would you like to pay the extra" would have sufficed. 100% can guarantee I will not be coming back especially because of that rude staff member. Old...
