Moonlight Tandoori in Harlow is a must-visit for any lover of authentic Indian cuisine! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel right at home. The ambiance is cozy, perfect for a relaxing evening meal, and itās clear that every detail has been thoughtfully arranged to make guests feel special.
The food was absolutely outstandingā10/10! Every dish was rich in flavor and beautifully presented. We started with the mixed grill platter, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with traditional spices. The chicken tikka masala was creamy and delightful, while the lamb biryani had the perfect balance of spices. The naan was fresh, soft, and paired so well with everything. You can tell the chefs here really know their craft!
Special mention goes to Nadeem Ahmed, who made our experience unforgettable. His attentive, friendly service made the meal even better. He was knowledgeable about the menu, offering excellent recommendations and making sure our every need was met without ever being intrusive. Nadeemās genuine hospitality really set the night apart.

Read moreMy son wanted to treat me to a curry for my birthday, and Moonlight was our first thought. Tuesday night is banquet night, and I do advise you to reserve your seat. Once you've confirmed that you are having the banquet, you will be given a different menu, which is packed with choice. For £17.50 you each choose one starter, one main, one rice, one bread and share one side dish. I struggled to finish it all, and the staff let us take home the leftovers for breakfast!
Popadoms and the accompanying sauces are extra, they have an amazing red sauce for your popadoms which is bordering on addictive!
Moonlight does not serve alcohol, but you are welcome to take in your own, and there is no corkage fee. It certainly did not spoil the night or cause an issue to any of the other guests.
The restaurant was very clean, the staff were friendly and chatty and the food was piping hot and well cooked. Continues to be one of my favourite restaurants, particularly on banquet night.
As always, I found it best to park in the old blockbuster car park and walk through. I didn't realise that they have been serving food here since the 80's , and I can highly recommend...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI attended here last night with a couple of my work colleagues. We were seated next to the toilet door (not too much of an issue - it was relatively busy)
We ordered a couple of drinks and a starter, cobra and the grand grill. The starter turned up, looked okay, all the meat on the plate tasted exactly the same, which was a bit disappointing. The food wasn't great but it was ok.
We then ordered our mains and naan breads, again all came out in a timely fashion. Chicken Madras and Keema Naan. The Madras was tasteless and only hot, no flavour. and the keema naan was either still very soggy or had cheese or something in it. It was dripping with oil also, very off putting. (We are not used to having to drink a keema naan) we only ate a couple of mouthfuls of our dinners and left the rest.
We then sat there for 15-20 minutes waiting for our bill and payment to be collected.
It was a disappointing experience as I have eaten here before in the past and not been able to fault it. But this time will be...
