I will never ever return here and I urge you to read my review beforw you even conaider visiting Tandoori Ghor.
Now I love curry and I have eaten various curries from various restaurants and takeaways in my lifetime.
This was the worst curry I have EVER been served in a restaurant... must say he Chicken Tikka starter was lovely.
The poppadom came out and the Lime Pickle was FULL of grease I couldn't use it. The onion salad was wrongly chopped and the cucumber was not fresh. You can see this in the pictures I have uploded.
When my curry came out it had a thick layer of grease on it some of which I managed to scoop off onto a plate but even then it was so oily I couldn't finish it. I asked for a Keema Naan and got a plain one.
The Lamb Bhuna was tasteless with no spice whatsoever. Honestly guys please see the pictures I've attached.
I was hungry and in a rush so I ate half of it and then complained before paying my bill. I'm not one to moan but I was so frustrated I had to say something. I told one of the waiters what the problem was and he walked away. Then another waiter came over and I told him the same thing.. he said the manager would be back to speak to me but I didn't have time to wait. He offered me a 10% discount on the bill without an apology then the other waiter brings the bill over with no discount. Anyway I paid it and walked out.
The toilets hadn't been cleaned. I was the first customer of the day arriving just after 6pm and the place was dirty with finished toilet rolls still in the toilet so hadn't been checked/cleaned.
Unfriendly staff. Very very poor food. Badly run. Food stains on the walls. Don't waste your money here, go to the lovely curry...
Read moreI would rate this lower however Google doesn't allow me to.
First off, we waited for over an hour for our extremely bland food to come and it was served about 10-15 minutes apart. As you can imagine the food was cold by the time the rest of the food was served and we barely touched it.
They also had the audacity to tell me Saag Paneer contained cheddar cheese where they insisted I had to mention I wanted Paneer but the fact they called lightly seasoned tomato sauce with chicken a curry is beyond ridiculous.
Having complained to the manager, he quite proudly said that their establishment doesn't serve "our kind" (Indians) which was of course, well received.
Don't let their fabricated reviews deceive you and avoid this pathetic excuse of a restaurant at all costs.
EDIT - Their response is a complete lie. Having not eaten any of the mains due to it being cold and bland, we still cleared half of the bill. I urge you to choose any other restaurant...
Read moreA fabulous Tandoori restaurant, right on the seafront - great quality food, very polite and timely service, great value.
As a visitor to Hastings and St Leonards (and the UK, these days), I was looking for Indian food and stumbled across this gem. Excellent quality Chicken Tilka (it’s clear their tandoor is good and hot - there’s a beautiful crust on the juicy chicken chunks!), excellent lamb curry, and I can only assume their cilantro is locally sourced, because it was super fresh and tasty.
Our server was an extremely attentive and pleasant young chap who carefully trod the line between being there when you need him and being there too much with excellent judgment - top marks to that young man, who deserves great credit for his work.
The only thing I can say which would improve this place is more customers - they don’t know what...
