The chips and pie were very nice and priced slightly more than other local chippies but not excessively. Clean and tidy inside. Would’ve scored higher however, I was charged for curry sauce and then told 5 mins later that they didn’t have any and could I choose something else! I asked to use the toilet while I was waiting for my food to be cooked but was refused use and told that it’s for staff. This is a lie as other customers who were sat down to eat had use of the toilet. I think it’s rather petty to refuse the use of the toilet to a paying customer based on the fact it was a takeaway order! I also asked for a plastic / wooden fork to eat my chips, pie and beans (curry sauce replacement) with. My 11 year daughter went in the shop with her 2 school friends today for a girly chat and a snack after they had been playing in the park. The weather is cold and it had started drizzling, the girls got a portion of chips and we’re about to sit down to eat. They were then approached by a staff member who was very abrupt and asked the girls to leave the premises. The shop was empty, there was enough seating for any other customer if needed, yet the girls were asked to leave as the purchase was not enough to be allowed to sit down in the shop. I think it’s absolutely unacceptable and morally wrong to make an 11 year old to leave he shop in rain and cold, because she couldn’t afford to spend more money on the purchase. I think it’s rather petty to leave reviews purely based on the use of the toilet, considering theres plebty of public conveniences available locally!
