Went for coffee and a sandwich on August Bank Holiday 2022. Weren't able to order sandwiches until 12:00, so at 11:55,we ordered a cappuccino and a flat white.

At 12:00 we ordered a Cheese & Pickle sandwich and a Ham & Mustard on brown, which both came with chips and salad.

Our food arrived at the table around 12:10, with still no sign of our coffees. The coffees eventually arrived at 12:25, half an hour after ordering and after we'd finished our meal, by which time it was a little late and we were close to cancelling the coffee order just as it arrived. By that stage we'd got past wanting a coffee and would have preferred a cold drink.

The food and coffees were delicious, the staff friendly and the venue beautiful and Instagramable, with lovely decor and a secret garden.

What let it down was particularly the drinks service. All the tables around us in the garden had delays to drinks, whether hot or cold. The next door table described the service as organised chaos, and it took 20 minutes (plus chasing by them) to be told that one of the beers they ordered wasn't available. Another table to the other side of us were recommended not to order coffee, as there was a long backlog waiting to be made. If only we had been told the same or approached by staff to ask if we'd like to change our drinks order.

5/5 for the speed of the food service and the quality of the food.

1/5 for the speed of the drinks orders and lack...

My husband and I used to always come here but, since Tina has left it’s a completely different place. I booked in for my birthday lunch with a friend I called in advance to make sure they would be able to accommodate that I would like the meat sharer board which they agreed to as was a very regular and well vaulued customer. This was not the case when I arrived!! I was left crying at the table. My friend had took time out of work and I had paid for extra care for my son who’s autistic into a play group so I could have some time for myself to relax and unwind as a birthday treat from a friend and dispute calling in advance no details were noted under my booking nor were they even willing to accommodate anything similar only that I pay £38 per piece of steak of which steak was on the sharer board for £54 so wanting over double the amount for less food. They were not helpful at all and didn’t even care it I made this booking for a long awaited treat for my birthday. I use to regualy go here and would easily spend over £400 a month!! Food is amazing but service has massively gone down hill and due to this bad experience and service I have recieved it’s opened my eyes and I...

The decor is incredible, there is no denying that the place is gorgeous. We had booked in advance for food, when we had arrived for the booking, they told us the kitchen was shut, but they kindly opened the kitchen for us as we had booked specifically for food. The food (where do I start) was absolutely disgusting, I had a lasagne, it was watery and discoloured, it was obvious this was a frozen lasagne that had been reheated poorly, they charged around £15 for this, you could get a better tasting one for £1 from the shop. My friend had a chicken ceasar salad, it looked lovely when it came out, but a few hours after eating (what looked like a nice salad) food poisoning appeared! Mine and my friends (miss food poisoning) partner's both had the burgers, they had bad stomach pains a few hours after eating the unseasoned dry burgers. I would NOT recommend this place for food, if you wanted a real excuse to get off work for a few days because of being unwell, then this is the place for you! But if you want to pay and eat some decent food, please look...

Eclectic, off-beat and bustling busy. The cocktail menu features old favourites alongside in-house specialities. They happily made my dirty martini on request when I asked to go off-piste of the printed options. Table service keeps the bar area free for you to place your order. Grab a table number first as though you were ordering food. We visited on a Saturday late afternoon and although it was busybhad no problems securing a table and getting served. Live music was advdvertised for the following night, and seems a fairly regular event.

I live local to this amazing bar and restaurant. So different from anything in the area. High recommended, my only negative is we were not greeted with a smile or shown to a available seat. Think this would be a huge improvement to the bar. Was very busy but to anyone new to the bar a friendly Greet and shown seating would a great feature 🙂 The secret Garden was amazing, pitty no log burner. 🤣 But they do have blankets as you can see my friend taking the advantage of with a very cold beer. 👍😁.
