My friends and myself had the great misfortune to dine on Saturday 1 April in this restaurant. We have previously enjoyed nice meals in the restaurant with pleasant staff and good service. Unfortunately, this evening we were subjected to the presence of a group of diners who were rude, excessively raucous and in general were allowed by management to expose themselves, sing, if one could call it that and in general took over the restaurant. At no time did any of the staff request the group to quieten down. In fact the more alcohol they consumed the louder they got. In addition, they blocked the front door obstructing other diners to enter or leave. In summary, our civilised evening out was ruined by a bunch of, what could only be described, as loud mouthed diners with no thought and respect for others. Read moreWe were in the area to see TV show recording and we were looking for somewhere to eat before. The Barracuda caught our eye as it looked attractive and clean . What an fabulous choice we made! The service was excellent - not often you walk up to a restaurant and someone opens the door for you, it was the same when we left - a thank you goes a long way! We struggled with a menu that gave us so much choice. In fact my husband had to resort to tossing a coin for his decision, much to the waitresses' amusement. Two of us settled on the chicken and mushroom risotto, whilst Steve went for the special. We can safely say it was the best we had ever had. Absolutely delicious with lots of different flavours coming through and cooked to perfection. A huge shame that we live so far away in Sheffield, but, if we are back down that way, we will definitely visit again. Highly recommended...
Read moreI wasn't supposed to be in Borehamwood tonight, my god am I happy I am. Came to eat early, around 18:15 outside seating area was full , inside was maybe 1/4 full. Had the breaded goatscheese to start, best tasting goatscheese I've had, absolutely delicious, gave the special a run, crab and prawn linguine with chilli and garlic , dill and tomato, the flavours were like a firework display in my mouth, what an experience, I'm no expert but I think it's obvious when fresh ingredients are used, I'd put my wage on everything here being cooked fresh from fresh ingredients.
