La Casa — Restaurant in Hertsmere

Came here for dinner. When I stepped in I was asked how long I was going to be in there for which I felt was quite rude, so I said 30-40mins maybe, depending on how long it will take me to eat, the male waiter responded "40 Minutes?!" in a shocking tone, I was given a table despite this. There were other tables that had been already reserved, the table I was sat on did not have this prior so I'm confused as to why the young man asked me this and responded in that way.

The actual food quality was decent, there was a lady who served me too, she was friendly. After I had ordered my food, the attitude of the man changed. I did however, feel quite rushed, the food also took more than 10mins to come out which is understandable busy night, fresh food, so a bit confused why my answer of 30-40mins was met with such negativity, knowing the potentional pace of the kitchen/customers on a Saturday night. It was all a bit odd really. I wouldn't return. Luckily there's already a few Italian restaurants in this location which don't speak to customers this...

Fantastic restaurant choice at the last minute. Catered for 2 adults and toddler who had own baby chair with table. Was asked first if anyone had any allergies and we asked where can we sit..reply anywhere you would like. Aah wow!! Food starters lamb skewers & spinach with cheese in filo pastries presented too good to eat. Main lasagne and prawns in spaghetti mouthwatering delicious dishes..again presentation awesome. Toddler given choices & discussed, medium length chips..ordered two bowls. Toddler given coloured felttips and colouring book..to keep him occupied..throughout our time.Desserts were amazing out of this World Tiramisu and Sticky hazelnut chocolate cake with ice-cream... just felt totally spoilt.. Exceptional and outstanding service..Deserves more than 5 stars for each category..We will back sooooon.....20 out of 20..Thankyou for an outstanding, professional service and for checking each time if we were happy with our meals..Great!!...

La Casa were able to accommodate us at short notice for my mother's 80th Birthday lunch (we had previously booked elsewhere just up the road but they were very rude about bringing our own birthday cake). I'm so glad we decided to move our booking to La Casa. The food was delicious (we are all Italians so it takes a lot to please us when it comes to food!) and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Not only did they allow us to bring our own birthday cake but they dimmed the lights for us and played happy birthday when bringing it out to the table which was a nice touch. If you are going to have an Italian meal in Bushey I would recommend La Casa over any of the other Italian...
