Nando's Borehamwood — Restaurant in Hertsmere

Worst branch of Nando's I have ever been to! Rude staff not fluent and English, unhelpful and no customer service. I asked for a Sunset burger but would like chicken breast instead of chicken thighs in it. They refused saying it cannot be done. Laughable when I have NEVER had a problem in ANY other branch when asking for this. Absolute ignorance. Zapeta (Waitress) just couldn't be bothered and refused. Suggested ordering a normal chicken burger and ahe would add chilli jam and cheese 🤣🤣what a joke. She doesn’t even know the menu. I showed her the menu and explained the Sunset burger ingredients were red pepper churney etc etc. She ignored this and said Chilli jam and cheese would do. I took her suggestion for fun so I could make a point of showing her it was a joke. When she asked how the food was I pointed out the garlic bread was cold and burnt. There was a teaspoon of chilli jam on the burger bun some soggy lettuce a slice of unmelted cold cheese and a tiny chicken breast with no flavour to it. Ordered Medium heat but tasted of nothing. The burger was TINY laughably small. Kids size. The chicken breasts must be grown in a petri dish they are so small they look like mini burgers now. They are shrinking smaller every 6mths or so. Such a shame when Nandos used to be good food and value for £ now it’s expensive for what it is and the portions are miniscule. Even the table next to us was saying the same and ordered double chips bcus their dinner was kids size. I can’t imagine how tiny the Nandinos meals are....probably fir for a toddler and not a child. The place was overall grubby and understaffed. No proper on any tables. When i asked i was given a tiny sachet like you get in a coffee shop. Never been more disappointed and will not visit this dirty rude understaffed branch again. Sums up Borehamwood too. I ordered a delivery from the Nandos website as I have done before successfully, sometimes I collect the order but I was tired and didn't want to drive.

I left the same instructions as I always do for the delivery driver. My address is a house name and not A number.

The driver called me, I tried to explain that my house has a name but not a house number and he Hung up the phone on my whilst I tried to tell him my Road is a dead end and I'm at the end of the road.

I Called him back and he said no house number no delivery and hung up.

My girlfriend and I were really hungry so I Got changed and drove to the Nandos. I asked for the manager to explain my situation. I Guy said he Was the manager but offered no sympathy or understanding and being a manager myself dealing with the public day to day, he lacked the skills to deal with the situation.

I'm disappointed and won't return to Nandos for food in the future. I have to wait until next week for my refund and no offer of compensation for the...

Manager ‘Eman’ extremely arrogant and dismissive in how he walked around the restaurant and spoke to other members of staff which was uncomfortable to watch. I also asked politely if it was possible to have some hot water to heat a bottle for my two month old daughter he flatly refused due to ‘health and safety’ which I understood. I then asked if I could give him my bottle to put in some hot water to heat up, ie I was to be no where near the hot water and he laughed at me and still refused. Never have I been to a restaurant where they are happy to let a baby scream out in hunger and sneer in your face when you ask for help. I understand such an health and safety rule but his whole attitude was disgusting and I know that both the other staff and customers felt the same way.
