Blue India — Restaurant in Horsham

I don't have any photos which is shame because the food looked just as amazing as it tasted!

My partner and I have only recently moved to the area and a good curry is one of our indulgences so were keen to try it out - so glad we did.

First of all the restaurant was incredibly clean and tidy. We were greated my Chloe as we came in who had a massive smile and made us feel so welcome.

Talulah then came and took our order for food and double check we had everything correct (we ordered a lot... got to try a bit of everything!).

Between Chloe, Talulah (I'm really sorry if I'm spelling that wrong by the way) and Bailey we had the most amazing service we've experienced at a restaurant.

The food of course was absolutely amazing! The Sag Aloo is something to definitely write home about and the Mushroom Bahji was utterly incredible to name just a couple of dishes.

For me though service is the most important thing at a restaurant, if you know the staff are looking after you then you know they're looking after everything else too and it was clear to us that we were being very looked after!

We ordered a couple of extra beers (who has a curry without beer?) and Anthony came and told us that one wasn't as cold as they wanted it to be so he put it in the freezer for us for a little bit just to help cool it down - just another example of the excellent service!

A special mention has to be given to Chloe - she was absolutely wonderful and took the time to have a little chat with us and made sure we had everything we needed.

Genuinely one of the best restaurants we've been to let alone just for curry.

If you're in the area and fancy a curry - you absolutely must check this place out! We will certainly be going back despite living locally and being able to pick up for a collection, dining in is definitely going to be...

Such a crying shame! Moved into Billingshurst July 22 & have been going here regularly since, we’ve used the one with our friends in Crawley for years too! Was always good. However the last two months (we didn’t throw in the towel straight away!) It’s really gone downhill, we was aware of new faces/management etc. but Alas the food & service really has declined. So tonight was hoping, I just ordered a simple madras, it was nothing like? Imagine a pretty tasteless watery dhansak with no lentils, that was it, almost tomato based colour & flavour all so wrong? So after my starter, the waitress actually took my dirty cutlery off my starter plate and put it back on the table cloth! So my wife finished hers and she put both sets on her plate to see what happened? So they then left the starter plate with both lots of used cutlery on our table and then served our mains! Yes you guessed it, we had to ask for clean cutlery! Really disappointing food and quality of service unfortunately dying, hey ho that was our last go. Such a shame! Oh ps, overcharged is to for large bottled cobra when ordered small & said that’s all we had after just bringing opened without asking :-/ when I questioned he just shrugged...

Decided to give Blue India a try, as we live in Billingshurst, it's always had a bad name in the past, but I read they had new owners and things had improved, we booked a table for Friday night for 7.30 for myself and my husband. We were greeted by a young girl and taken to our table, we had poppadoms for our starter, they were OK, we ordered our main, it took at least 45mins to get to out table, despite the fact there were only 3 other people in there, a man on his own, and a man with what looked like his son, the food wasn't good, very salty, we had garlic chilli chicken, and rice, the rice had the texture that it had been previously frozen and re heated, the curry was extremely salty and not much flavour other than salt and chilli, we also had bombay potatoes, they were nothing special, all in all not a good meal, we asked for our bill, that came quick enough, then there was another 15mins wait for them to bring the card machine to us, there was nothing nice about our meal, we weren't asked is our meal OK, would we like anymore drinks, or a desert, we paid our bill and left, the plates and dishes were still on the table, we won't...
