This is a pub with a good vibe and good food and drink too. Plenty of room. If live music appeals then there's something every weekend, if not your thing then pub's large enough to enable conversation away from the music. TV screens if you're into sport. Free carpark out back in evening. Recommend it.

Classic British pub Sunday roast. Massive portions, especially the starters, so you will not leave hungry. A limited Sunday menu but enough choice to cover most people including a vegetarian option. Price point is towards the low end and represents great value. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘ Recommended.

Beautiful clean rooms and en-suites, lovely decor, the pub itself is beautiful, lovely staff, friendly punters, lovely food! Pub is situated in the middle of the high street with plenty of different shops, bus stops, cafes, takeaways. Will stay here again :)

We stumbled upon this lovely pub and accommodation while I was looking for a last minute night away with my Dad.|We met the lovely owners called Oonagh and Colin who were very welcoming and helped us take our bags up to our room. |We stayed in room 17, it was spotlessly clean with lovely soft towels, washing products, tea making facilities in the room, a large fan tucked away in the corner and super comfy beds. Our room had the added bonus of a little sky light in the bathroom to let in natural light. I used the shower and it was very powerful which is great considering we were on the top floor. |While this accommodation does not have on site parking, there is a public car park directly behind it and it only costs ยฃ3 for 24 hours using either cash or the JustPark app. |We had dinner at the pub and the food was delicious, my Dad is a particularly fussy eater and all his needs were catered for. Staff went above and beyond to ensure his needs were met and did so in a very friendly manner. |We went to a little bakery next to the pub for breakfast, which came highly recommended from the ownersโ€ฆ.we were not disappointed!|All in all, this is a great place to stay and I will be coming back with my husband very soon as there are a lot of golf...

My wife and I stayed for two nights just after Christmas to attend a family gathering nearby. There is no free parking but we were able to leave the car at our daughter's house and walk. Didn't use the bar or eat in, but did try the Billi Tap brew micro pub a few doors down which was excellent. The hotel rooms have a separate 24-hour side door. We were in room #17 which was very comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities, but up two flights of stairs that were a bit narrow and steep. Could be a problem for some. En-suite bathroom and shower good. Due to the time of year nearby locations for breakfast were mostly closed, but we managed to find 'Whispers' open behind Sainsbury's, a short walk away. Breakfast there was good. Only hotel negatives were: a) the room not being made up after the first night (don't know if this is normal, an oversight or a seasonal thing), and b) the pub's sign being directly outside the window to our room and periodically banging throughout what was a very blustery second night. As an aside, the high street runs right outside, but the traffic noise during the night was not a problem. Might be different at busier times...
