Capital Chinese Take Away and fish & chips — Restaurant in Horsham

Usually order from another Chinese in town but they were closed so we thought we would take the plunge and go local. Ordered a Chinese for collection as they didn’t deliver, Lovely little lady behind the counter, polite and professional as to be expected. Came home and dished up our food. Chicken satay skewers looked undercooked and slightly pink on the inside, they were chewy/rubbery and the sauce didn’t have any flavour nor did the egg fried rice / chicken chow mien. Prawn balls were greasy and extremely fishy. Spring rolls and crispy chilli beef was nice and the free prawn crackers were a nice touch. Rubbish!! Since this place changed hands it's gone down hill drastically. Went in a month ago and the wait was ridiculous the food was horrible and the staff were rubbish. With two of them looking right at me speaking some eastern European language. Thought I would give them another try tonight. Big mistake. Sweet and sour chicken balls were fatty and tasteless, the sauce had a chemical aftertaste the chips were tiny, it looked like they scrapped the bottom of the barrel to get them out. Amazing chinese! Walked in and the woman on the counter was friendly and smiley. Gave my name after ordering online. She got our food, handed it over and we left to go enjoy it.
