I walked in at the time they were just closing after being in the park with my children and thought I could pick up something savoury to take away for them to have on the way home. I was met with absolute disgust and nasty comments and when I told the man in charge he said they were rude because I probably was!!!! Read moreDecided to take my kids to southwater country park for a play and to eat something as the weather is fabulous. Only to be told at 2.45pm that they are no longer serving food and closing at 3pm because it's been too busy! But the ladies on shift seemed moody and unpleasant not to mention moaning about me to another customer while im still in the cafe. Just because she could see i was unhappy. Read moreYou need to pay for parking (which there is plenty of) however there is no entry fee. It's a lovely walk around a lake with ducks, swans and moorhens amongst others! There is a BBQ area and a little beach area (closed due to covid) You can follow dinosor foot prints to a park, great for older children (around 5+) not so great for small children or babies as there is very little they can play on. There are baby swings and a sand pit. However it's a great day out and the walk around the lake dosnt take too long so your not dragging your feet...
