Kokoro — Restaurant in Horsham

TLDR: You have to try the chicken katsu curry meal. End of.

Small restaurant, but don't underestimate them. They have lots of options from sushi and beef, but theyre really famous for their chicken katsu. Food isn't cooked to order, but several batches are made daily, so youre never left with an unfresh taste. Their breaded chicken that comes with the katsu just falls apart in your mouth. The rice is also very good, however if youre a meat lover, they give you an option to have it without rice, and fill the box with just the chicken and the curry. Food is reasonably priced, and their is essentially no wait time. Staff are very friendly. My one gripe is the pricing of the drinks. They are a little high at more than one pound for the drinks, and you can find a chilled can of tango down the hill in savers for 35p. Overall, please try this place out, its a favourite for me...

Best sushi in the whole area! I cant speak for the hot food as I've yet to try it properly. Staff are friendly, prices are good and the sushi is fantastic. The only other Horsham store selling sushi that I know of is waitrose, however theirs is both more expensive and less flavorsome. Kokoro also has a good selection of soft drinks and all sushi dishes come with all the complimentary extras i.e good quality soy sauce sachet, wasabi and fresh ginger (Nice edamame beans as well) been a regular customer since I came round to sushi and will continue to be for as long as they exist :) Best used as a takeway due to the small amount of space available. The only feedback I'd give is I wish they opened earlier on weekdays (Opening times listed on google are not accurate), often doors dont open till 11-11:30 am which is normally too late as I come into town earlier for...

Food quality is ok. I being there several times, so I know what I get. Today’s service however. The most polite way to say is that I’m clearly not welcomed. I got whatever face since I started order. And there’s literally no words or gesture’s from the waitress showing it’s ready for me to pay with my card. I tap my card and check if it works, then the waitress just turned back without a word.

It’s not busy, I see other customers were served normally so it’s hardly staff over stressed. And almost every customer here and I are from the same company. I have the same manners and same way to order.

The only difference I can tell is I’m a Chinese. I’m sure the experience are much better most of time. But it’s my review and for these treat difference I only give 1 star.
