Hodson's Fish & Chips restaurant — Restaurant in Huntingdonshire

I made an order through Just Eat, the only reason im leaving the review here is due to the limitations the Just Eat adds for reviews. I ordered a chicken wrap meal which includes a small chips and a can, I also got a buttered roll on the side to hit the delivery min. I'll start with the wrap, these guys do not hold back with the filling, that bad boy was full and that's what you love to see. The chicken was a tad on the dry side and that's the only reason I can't give the food 5* but that's not to say it didn't taste good! When my driver turned up (which may I say was about 30 mins earlier then expected) I was quite sad to see my chips had been forgotten, but not to worry because after a very simple and quick phone call to Hodsons they were able to confirm they had been forgotten and sent my chips back out to me, they even threw in a free drink too which I always appreciate! The lady I spoke to on the phone was amazing, I wasn't able to catch her name otherwise I'd give her more praise, but she was very apologetic and understanding which is why this place gets 5* for customer service. Considering my order was at prime time on a Friday evening these guys didn't miss! I will definitely be ordering again. If you're looking for a fish & chips shop with good food and amazing staff then Hodsons is your one.

Just ordered for the first and very last time from here, we ordered 2 medium cod and chips and some other things, one came as expected the other was barely a childs portion of fish, called to state i wasnt happy as there was nothing to it to be laughed at and told its done on weight to then explain the size of one is tiny, to be told by the girl who was laughing well hes said next time you order tell us in comments, i told them i wont be ordering again and id rather they refundsome money back they offered £2.50 to which i said is he taling the piss - yes i know i shouldnt have but its an insult, 20 mins they delivered more which i wont touch as from the attitude of the staff i would put it pass them to do something to it.

Unfortunately I've had to change my review which I gave over 8 months ago! I would NOT order the 'Wholetail Breaded Scampi' because what I received for £5 I feel was awful. The contents of the 'Wholetail Scampi' delivered to me was a Sponge-like Reformed Paste which I felt was flavourless. I did NOT eat them and phoned the shop to ask for a refund BUT I was refused. I've had Wholetail Scampi plenty of times from other places like Wetherspoons and Hartford Mill at a lower cost, and these were proper whole pieces of scampi tails and not REFORMED and tasted great. It's such a shame as we are a family of 5 and often order from Hodsons with a big order. I DO NOT feel it's acceptable to pay 50p per 'scampi' when I received...
